I have decided to write this review in order to hopefully help others not to go through the same terrible experience that I just did with Dr. Marjorie Nigro. In my first consultation with her, I waited for about 2 hours and then she stayed with me for about 5 min!!!! Her assistant (Maria) who is very nice, told me the products that I needed to buy and how to use it. She also answered my questions about a filler and since she was so nice, I decided to schedule the filler (Restilane). On my second appointment, AGAIN I waited for two hours. She got in the room and went directly to apply the injections, without explaining anything so I told her thr I was worried of looking too fake. She said that she was going to put very little so it would be a discrete filler. And then in two weeks, if I wanted or needed more, she could touch up. I was ok with the approach as it was my first time doing it and wanted to see how would work. I didn’t see ANY difference other than a bad bruise on my face that lasted for few days but she said it was normal and that it could take couple weeks to see results. After 3 weeks of not seeing ANY result, I went back to see her hoping for that touch up that was promised. Once again I waited for 2 hours, it seems a standard waiting time there. She didn’t come see me, and I explained how I felt to the nurse, who put numb cream on my face and then I waited for one hour until the Dr. came and said that I had a 40% improvement, but I totally disagree as I don’t see any difference and people close to me also told me that it didn’t look like I have done the filling. Then she said that I shouldn’t spend any more money if that’s how I felt about the first procedure. More money??? I was expecting this touch up to be free of charge as I was not satisfied with the results of a procedure That i paid $700. Most plastic surgeons would give you a touch up of Botox for example when you are not satisfied. Or they would redo a procedure to fix something you didn’t like it. Dr. Marjorie was very rude and sarcastic and said that nothing is free in her clinic, and totally ignored how I was feeling. She wanted to get more money to fix something that she didn’t do it right in the first time. I have seen fillers results from people who have done it with plastic surgeons and it was amazing, so I was very disappointed with my results. Perhaps a dermatologist don’t have the same experience as a plastic surgeon and it was my mistake for choosing her? Or perhaps she should have explained to me that one injection wouldn’t be enough for me? She didn’t set my expectations correctly and didn’t tell me that I had to pay if I needed a touch up. I have read about Restylane fillers and the results it depends a lot on the doctor performance, sometimes they inject too deep or too shallow and it doesn’t work. I really don’t know what happened but I know that I wasted money with a professional who doesn’t care about the results and how their patient feels about it. I advise you to think twice before seeing this Dr. and perhaps she is just famous between the Brazilian community because a lot of the immigrants don’t speak English to see an American Doctor. That’s sad but it’s not my case. I am a busy person who has a hard time waiting two hours for a doctor that sees you for 5 minutes and has no consideration for the results of her procedures.
