So Glad I Did This!
I lost 84 pounds over 30 years ago. Since then, I have worked out with weights and cardio like a fiend, trying to lift the sagginess on my backside. When I reached my 50's, I noticed everything drooped even more. I hesitated to get this surgery, thinking I was being superficial ("I'm in my 50's, shouldn't I be more concerned with other things?"). Anyway, I decided to do it for me and I have no regrets whatsoever.

Great results, congrats! Do you have any pre and post-op tips to share with the community to help them prepare for their journey?
Hi. I am in the same age group as you, very much shaped like you, and I have been looking into lifts. What you received is exactly what I have been looking for. I am not looking for the big butt just the butt I once had. Did you just have a lift or was volume (via fat transfers) added as well?
No volume was added. But because so much skin was removed, I can now see the benefits of my work in the gym, i.e., my muscles! I spoke to Dr. LoMonaco about adding implants and he didn't recommend them. There are many complications and at the least, they might be uneven or odd-shaped and unnatural-looking.
looks great! can you talk about the recovery.
The hardest thing about recovery was not being able to drive. I stayed home a lot and depended on my husband to do everything. The girdles were so tight-I wanted them tight, for maximum compression-I couldn't eat a lot at one time, so I was hungry and had to eat several tiny meals throughout the day. Also, sleeping in the lift chair got old. I think I was in that thing a month.
Me again... how long couldn't you drive? Was the pain more than just the incision? Also although very familiar with lift chairs due to my parents the thought of sleeping in one is not something I would want to do. Since you can't sit and were home a lot... what did you do? How can you even watch tv if you can't sit. I guess I am a bit scared of the recuperation. Many thanks on all your sharing on here. You look great!
I think it was a month of no driving. There was zero pain!!! I spent the night in the hospital and didn't use the pain pump one time. I didn't even need the pain meds he sent home with me.
They actually make lift chairs that are almost horizontal when fully extended. I didn't get that one, too expensive lol.
I read, did bible study, and slept. Your body needs rest after surgery to heal, so I napped a lot. I wasn't ever bored. You are sitting but reclining, so you could see the tv just fine.

You couldn't drive for a month, but when could you ride in a car? The same?
