Still So Happy It's Emotional! - Houston, TX

It's now 3 weeks since I had the op and I'm now back at home.. I traveled to Texas from Australia after having researched for 12 months, trying to find a surgeon that could give me the results I wanted without vertical scarring. I also didn't want my shape to result in looking like I had 'propped up' saggy breasts.
I cant believe I finally did it because it was probably the best thing I've ever done for myself. I'll never be able to properly explain what this whole experience has meant to me.
It wasn't an easy decision at all.. I'd seen numerous surgeons and my biggest concern was the scarring.. Given my history with scars I really couldn't come to terms with more scars. I even had one surgeon say to me my body was 'a dogs breakfast' (I cried for 2 days after that).
My family meant well but they thought I was crazy to risk going overseas by myself, what if something happened, etc... I had to trust in that I did everything I could and I can hand on heart say I got lucky and found exactly what I wanted after repeatedly being told it wasn't possible.
My breasts are now healing well.. I have no vertical scar and the shape is phenomenal (I've never said that about anything to do with my body so trust me, it's a big deal!). I'll update my review with photo's soon as I can!

Wow what an amazing story. Thank you so much for sharing Lala_Linda. You obviously did a lot of homework before picking the right doctor for you. How long did you spend in the US before returning to Australia?
I allowed myself that time just in case things didn't go to plan and I needed it. By around day 5/6 I was out either shopping or site seeing :)
My scars are healing nicely in underneath the fold of my breasts so front on you cant see it. There's also incisions around the areola but they just kinda blend in and becoming less and less noticeable everyday. The scarring I was afraid of was the vertical scar that runs down the center of the breast like you see with pretty much most breast lifts and reductions. There's no missing it.
I'll post my before and after pics tonight if i get a chance or tomorrow. I'm just on 3 months since i had it done so it's all still pretty fresh!
Gosh it feels strange reading that when only a couple months ago I was in your exact shoes!
Dr Horndeski is brilliant but you're going to get to see that for yourself. How exciting!
I'll post pics up for sure and drop you a note to let you know once they're online :)
I'm so glad you were able to do this without vertical scarring! Amazing! Please do keep us posted as you continue to heal. Would love to see your photos when you're ready.
