I discovered the fascia blaster after I couldn't...
I discovered the fascia blaster after I couldn't get massage for a few weeks, started massaging myself on my tight legs and hips, and felt the fascia break. It scared me because it felt so strange...so I researched and found the fascia blaster. It is absolutely one of the greatest things I've done for my body. Conceptually, I think it has similarities to cupping, rolfing, French cellulite massage, and skin rolling.
I was in school forever then sitting at a desk at day...I had to get weekly massages to feel any relief from the tension I had built from decades of sitting. After I discovered the fascia blaster I only get a massage every month or two. I've learned through the Facebook group that a lot of the members used to feel they need massages all the time to relieve their tension and now they don't!
I will admit, it is scary at first when you bruise. But, it doesn't feel like a bruise you get from falling or hurting yourself, Its deeper and darker...which terrified my husband. It is so dark you can almost see the tension and toxins escaping I think. They call it restorative bruising and I believe it. I used to bruise so easily, but I think that was because I have such fascia. Now I don't bruise when I I get a bump/accidentally hurt myself OR when I use the Fascia Blaster!
While the bruises were intense, so were the results. I felt I could almost stand straighter and taller because my whole body felt conditioned and restored. My hips are looser and feel amazing. My calves were no longer tight even when I wasn't flexing...they felt so soft and supple...not in a fat way, but the way a baby's bouncy flesh feels so healthy and soft.
A bonus is my veins are so much lighter and lightening more as I continue to use it! I've had them injected two or three times and this was so much cheaper and better.
I truly believe this is a way to restore your body. Sometimes at first it can feel a little intense because you're almost nauseated if you do it for too long at first...but your body does adjust. Also I experienced a rash on my thighs after I did it the second time...I saw an herbalist who gave me some detox and flushing supplements and I used cortisone and benadryl and it was gone in a couple of days.
My only complaint is I wish there were more massage therapists who would provide this! There are a lot more out in Texas (where Ashley Black lives) in addition to California and Arizona. Come on, Miami! Ashley Black, thank you thank you thank you!
