I was being hospitalized due to my fainting spell...
Dr. Hoschander came to the hospital and did marvelous surgery at my bedside to sew up my gashes. He was very competent and took great pride in performing the surgery so the healing process would be successful and the scar from the stitches the least noticeable. I have had several follow- up visits at his office in Woodbury, Long Island, and he has given me excellent advice on helping my scars heal well--wearing sunscreen when I go out, even if cloudy, to make sure the surgery region does not get burned or inflamed.
It is Dec 2, 2015 today and in one month the redness from my scars is already fading and the nerve damage I had from the lacerations is starting to subside and I again can raise my right eyebrow !!
I VERY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hoschander for any plastic surgery procedure.
He is a kind Dr who went into medicine for all the right reasons--to give each patient care and understanding and to listen to each one's needs as opposed to being vain and just bragging about his skills, while they truly are something to be impressed by !!!
Dr Hoschander has also written a Plastic Surgery textbook which helps explain and understand surgical procedures and thus is very informative if you are planning on having a future surgical procedure.
I only have kudos for Dr. Hoschander and would not hesitate to visit his office for any procedure you are considering. His staff is also extremely friendly and sweet.

As stated above in my review, Dr. Hoschander is a marvelous and dedicated Dr. He is so well versed in his field of Plastic Surgery and any patient should feel at ease as he explains the procedure he will perform on you. He is calm and compassionate and he makes his patients feel confident about the outcome of their surgery. He definitely is up on all current surgical procedures as evidenced by the book he has written, and thus you know he will be employing the best and most up to date procedures to remedy any problems you may have.
