43 Yr Old. 5 Kids. Desperate for Tt,lipo, bbl - Tijuana, Mexico

2 weeks post op

Ok..... time to update. For anyone consider this procedure, 'heads up', recovery is brutal. Be ready with some serious pain meds here in the states, because it's against the law to cross pain meds from Tijuana into san Diego. Well I don't know about all pain meds but for the ones my ps prescribed, I couldn't cross them. On comming back to San Diego, I got rid of what I had left, and settled for ibuprophen. I think that if i had something strong here in the states my recovery would have been more comfortable. So here are some pictures 2 weeks post op.

The TT itself is very rough to recover. I feel for you. You look great I must say and you have, great curves too. When did you return to work after all this? Couldn't you go to your doctor in state and get pain killers?
Thank you. I went back to work at 4 weeks po. I have to tell you I was not feeling normal. My movements were quite slow. I would start my day kind of straight, by the end of the day I was hunched over again. I'm now 6 weeks. Movement is faster, such as walking, turning around in my bed, etc. However I'm still careful with kids and peoples movements being too close to me for fear they may hug or any sudden movement that might hurt me. Also the swelling seems like it will never go away. But other than that I'm feeling much better.
Looks like its, gonna be a while. My 1st TT was 10 yrs ago and I stayed home for about 8 weeks. I work long, hours. To be specific 16 hrs day. I don't think I'm going back sooner than 7 weeks this time with I'm getting done. Are you still wearing your garment? And how are u sitting at work?
Yes, per doctors orders not to take it off along with a foam that wraps around my waist. I do take it off to wash and for massages. As for the sitting on my butt, I really never stayed off of it. With the tt, lipo and bbl pain it wouldn't let me get comfortable not even at night. I would lay on my side, then on my back and back to sides again and this with pillows all around me. I couldn't lay on my stomach. I kind of new that I would have to lay on it because of tt so I asked my ps to go big on my butt so I could end up with a conservative size butt. The day after surgery when I was taken out of bed to shower, I saw my butt and my husband and I laughed because it was so big, at least it seemed so to us. So I thought this butt has to come down, so I'v been sitting on it and laying on it. And it has. I wanted to end up with a natural curve to my back and butt and so far that's what I have. I'm currently 6 weeks po and so far my butt has kept it's size. However I'v been told that swelling doesn't go down completely until 6-12 months po.
Also, if you can't take a body pillow you shoul at least take a boppy neck pillow. That helped me in so many ways. I even used it to pull myself up away from the bed when I needed to. I got mine at TJ Max or Marshalls.
I can't imagine myself with a Huge butt! I will really be upset. I hope my doc understands that. I have seen butts done by Dr. Fisher in Florida and he is not the doc for me. It's just my personal taste. I think I will cry if I look huge after surgery :(( thanks for advice I will purchase the foam at doc office. I wanted to buy the body pillow online from mycomfortu.com but I'm hesitant. I'm getting fat graft on my hips too because I'm straight as a tree! Haha.today is my last day of work... I am so glad I'm so stressed right now. I need a beer badly but can't even DO THAT!
So shouldi just take ibuprofen to Mexico?
Your ps will prescribe what you need down there. If you can cross those, then you won't have to about pain meds, they well. I would highly recommend you try to get something from your primary here in states if you can and keep it home for when you come back. I heard some patients go into their primare care physician and say they have terrible back pain and are able to get the good stuff. I tried with my primary, she wouldn't give it to me. I might try a different doctor, so I can be more comfortable. I'm 6 weeks po and I feel burning sensation.
Ok, sounds likea good idea, getting meds here. Is the burning from the lipo or the tt? Happy recovery and get rested, and don't forget to post your selfies, by the way you look fabulous : )
Ouch!!!! I'm going for the same procedures, I have an a** already but do want the full body lipo and add to my glutes. Wow, that only means I have to be prepared for a long recovery.
You look great? I am considering Dr Cervantes.
Did you have a pain pump for the first several days after surgery.
At the recovery house did the nurses clear out your drains and administer meds? Was 9 days enough at the recovery house.
Sorry for all the questions :) Thx and good luck healing !
Thank you. No I didn't have a pain pump. Pain meds were good for me. Yes...nurses cleared out drains every day. The same for meds. Although I made a schedule for myself and kept track as well.
Was the pain most severe the first few days or longer and which pain meds did they prescribe? How often did you see the surgeons during your stay? Thx
Thx!
I would say the pain is different. The first ten days I was at a recovery boutique, I had a hard time getting comfortable in those hospital beds they had. They were really bad. That didn't help one bit. The only answer to a comfortable and smooth recovery would definitely have to be a real good bed, one of those expensive sleep number, I-comfort memory foam beds with remote control to adjust to help you up and down and out of bed would definitely make a difference. I tried one and they are amazing. So back to the pain, I felt the burning sensation mainly when there was alot of movement like when you're riding in a car. But it hasn't completely gone away. I don't remember the name of the pain meds but they were from Mexico. They worked well. They did take away the pain but not the discomfort. I don't think that goes away, unless you're on morphine. I saw the doctor the day after surgery at the hospital before discharge, then 3 days later then 4 days later. Then 2 days later to get my drains out. I did see him one last time before his vacation time off. I see him again mid-October for f-up.

Finally booked my surgery 2 months ago for tt,...

Finally booked my surgery 2 months ago for tt, lipo, and bbl with Dr. Cervantes. Also booked with recovery boutique baja ($1,000.00) in Tijuana for 8 days. Highly recommend this recovery boutique. Food is just so good. Breakfast, lunch and dinner brought to you to your own private room. Excellent care by kind and caring professional nurse staff. I met my doctor the Saturday before the week of my surgery. Very professional, no nonsense plastic surgeon. Was very upfront and honest with what I wanted and with what was possible to attain based on my body frame. And I'm very happy with my results. Although recovery is quite a challenge, I would definitely do it all over again, with the same Dr and same hospital. Hospital I must say is top notch quality care and state of the art facility. It is actually one of the best hospitals in Tijuana.
