Horrible eyelid surgery

ORIGINAL POST

Horrible Eyelid Surgery

I was looking for a doctor in the San Jose area that did eyelid surgery and ended up finding Dr. Lay. After reading reviews on realself, I decided to go ahead with the procedure. My eyes ended up being completely uneven. I waited a really long time to make sure they were healed before going back to voice my concerns. I ultimately had to seek out another doctor for revision. I lost a lot of money, but it's worth feeling good about yourself.

I'm sorry your eyelids didn't turn out well. Did the doctor explain why your eyes ended up uneven? Did you have some natural asymmetry beforehand that got worse with surgery, or did the surgery create entirely new asymmetry?
Who did you go to for your revision?
My eyes are completely uneven too! I'm really sad because his photos look so good
Did you have to do a revision too? Curious What did Dr Lay say about the outcomes

Mine was also very uneven. You can see my pictures on my profile on the question page. He drew on my eyelids one side way higher than other and he told me that that was intentional and that it will even out once it heals. When the procedure was done, I was shocked! The side that was higher, my eyelashes were sticking straight up. But he told me that it was all normal. On my one month post, instead of telling me that I was just swollen, he told me that I can wait 6 months for a revision which was to raise the normal eyelid up high to match the eyelid that's too high. Needless to say I did not return for a revision and after 5 years I am still unhappy with the result and is in a process of looking for a Dr for a revision. I have two Drs in mind and most likely will get it done in Beverly Hills.
