I went into a women's aesthetic center for the ARNP to inject Botox in my forehead. I had a class reunion coming up and just wanted to look great. Actually the fine lines were not that serious. Fast forward 8 days later and I noticed my left eyelid is drooping. In fact some people asked me if I had a stroke. I called the injector and spoke to her nurse and the nurse told me she would not call in any eye drops unless she seen it. The nurse said "eye drops won't help you anyway" OK great!! However she is out of the office today and tomorrow with the possibility of stopping in maybe this evening. In fact; the nurse sounded exasperated with me. Almost like she was saying ; SO WHAT. I know it will eventually wear off, but I don't know how I'm going to be presentable for the class reunion. Even my nose looks wrong. In hindsight I really should have known better than to try something like this. I probably will not ever do this again.

There is an eye drop that can be used that is suppose to help. I can't remember the name but its OTC for allergies. Call a plastic surgeon and ask the name. Hope this helps

Iopidine is the name of the prescription eye drop. The OTC NAPHCON may help a bit, but I would insist on prescription.

Thank you so much. I called my regular doctor and confessed to what I did and she called the drops in for me. They really worked and I got them Friday. I went to class reunion on Saturday night and my eye looked fairly normal.

Wonderful!

You can detox as well. It will help pull the Botox out of your body. Also, make sure you always go to a MD for injectables. They are highly trained and know where to inject, ergo risk of wrong muscles being injected leading to droopy anything is highly reduced.

Yes ... They have eye drops to help for sure. I would def not let this discourage you from getting injections in the future. You must go to a plastic surgeon for these tho. They cost more but this won't happen. I'm sorry ;(

Yay!!! That Botox will wear off too, so your eye will get back to normal.
Botox is great, but must be injected conservatively and by a doctor in my opinion.

To be honest I don't like botox. After using botox natural expressions are not showing. This is disgusting. One of my friends mom inject botox and now her forehead is expressionless.

So far my left eye is not any worse nor any better. I love the results for the fine lines if only my eye was normal. I have been using the iopidine 0.5 % eye drops and they really do help. I am looking forward to this wearing off a bit. I used the drops and went to class reunion with eye looking pretty normal. I will update pictures when there's a change. Thanks for all the advice and suggestions. I feel like I have my own cheering squad and all is good for now.

I had the same thing happen to me. I used surgical tape for about 3 weeks. 10 of those days i was on a Mediterranean cruise. When they say just one more, stop.

The whole experience has really done me in. I had read so many reviews and everyone had such good results that honestly I thought it was a simple safe thing to do. I can't even imagine being on a cruise like you were for ten days but I understand totally. Today it looked just tiny bit better. I'm just counting days til this is gone. Just wondering if you have had botox since and if you've had any problems.

Actually, I have, once Botox, once Dysport. Dysport is cheaper but you have to do twice as much and on me, lasted about a month. Too expensive for this retiree. You will always have to sign the waiver. Always make sure you tell them drooping happened to you. I would alway er on less is enough!

Thanks. I will remember to ask for less if I try it again. This week I'm finally looking normal again.

Eyedrop is extremely common is the injector hits the wrong muscle in your forehead. There are some muscles that you inject that relax, but give a lifting effect and then there are muscles that you inject that relax and if the wrong muscle, will cause the relaxation to relax too much which gives the eye droop look. The positive is that this is temporary and will go away in 4-6 months. At this point, the botox has already done its job and from this day foreward your eye drop will start to improve. Sorry, there is no treatment to reverse botox at all.

Thank you so much.I now understand what happed much better. It sounds like a person must be careful and get an experienced and qualified injector. So far the injector has not contacted me. The nurse told me this has not happened before. Really the worst thing is I'm now officially a liar to my family and friends. I've just couldn't tell them what I did.
