swelling take two/ doc feedback

So I called my doc on Monday. The office told me doctor would see me after my Smoothshapes rx on tuesday. I wore cg all day monday, Tuesday and again am wearing it today.

When doc saw me and I explianed my activity level last week, he told me I'd overdone it. checked the areas to make sure it was nothing serious, and told me I was allowed to do light to medium cardiovascular and light lifting of upper body only. No leg work. Whoops! My bad. He also recommended wearing compression type work out leggings when working out to help. My legs are still swollen but not as bad. I'm trying to drin mkore waTer As well.

He was really happy with how everything else is coming. I will get one more Smoothshapes rx next week Tuesday, then thursday I have my one month check up and pics. I forgot to ask him about the airplane flight of 10 hours I have in a month. I'm assuming he will say to wear the cg. Ugh.

Oh, he did say the one glass of wine I had on saturday was no issue. Yippee!

Holy swelling batman!

Ok, so I think lifting at the gym Thursday and then beach volleyball Friday was a little much for my body. My legs had started to feel achy - esp. my inner thighs - Friday afternoon. Saturday I could barely stand up... like I had lifted too much thigh machine... and on Sunday I woke up to super huge bloated thighs. The inner thighs were the worst. I could barely sleep Saturday night! Granted, I did have ONE glass of wine Saturday night... maybe that made it worse ? I also haven't been drinking water like a camel these days. And I was more worried about the stomach so I for sure had a compression tank of some sort on most of the time, but not on my legs. Both Saturday and again tonight I pulled on my compression garment (the original version) and plan to wear one of them every night from when I get home. Anyone else have anything like this happen to them? Will this continue to happen? My legs have never been this big in my life. Horrible!!!! I'm hoping it's just crazy swelling. I also started Bromelian again, arnica, and arnica pills. Will that help? Obv not lifting any legs again for a while..... (BTW I'll be 3 weeks post opp this coming Tues)

Oh yes, and see here for my 2 week pics.

swelling much?

So at 2 weeks, doc said ok to stop wearing cg. I took it off for 3 hours that day, then 10 hours Wednesday (next day). I was pretty puffy at 10 hours. Thursday wore the cg except at the gym, when I wore those maidenform tummy thing. I like that.

Friday I played beach volleyball with just a compression tank. Then cg went back on. Kept the swelling down.

Today is Saturday and I have a maidenform bodysuit on.

I figure come tuesday, my 3 week point, I will try to just wear cg at night and switch up during the day or go without. I plan to pick up some spanx seamless tanks tomorrow at Macy's (friends and family sale!) So I always have a little compression if I need it. Hoping by 6 weeks I'm all good because I have a vacation planned. Will post pics later today of my 2 week update from doc.

Dr. Chung is a wonderful doctor! He is kind, patient, and listens to what you want and sets realistic expectations as to what you will achieve. I felt very at ease with him and his staff. They've been very responsive to all my questions (there were a lot). I would recommend the Vein and Skin Center of Hawaii to all my friends.
