I will be 27 years old in May. I have an amazing husband of 3 years and a happy 8 month old baby. My husband deployed oct 15 and wouldn't you know I found out I was pregnant on oct 17 so he was gone the entire time. I had a horrible pregnancy and I gained almost 70 pounds. When I gave birth June 19 I weighed a whopping 243 lbs. I am active duty Air Force myself so I am back down to 193 but I plan on losing 15 pounds before surgery and 15 pounds after. My husband is very supportive he could care less what my tummy looks like but I am doing this for myself. I want my confidence back. I want to be able to look in the mirror and not break down sobbing. I had an emergency c section as a result my stomach not only looks horrible but my muscle has separated. I have literally stalked this site and looked at thousands of pictures I am so ready to be on the flat side:) my surgery is scheduled at the Ferguson clinic in Honolulu Hawaii. Dr Ferguson and his entire staff made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in and his confidence and straight forward answers assured me he was the right PS. So here goes... I will add before pics soon

My surgrey a week from today the 12th my nerves are bad but I am having faith. As for your room do you have a bathroom upstairs? If so I would stay upstairs so you can have more peace and quiet. The most important thing you will need to do is rest rest.

Hi good luck with your surgery. My friend had surgery with Dr Ferguson last year she had lipo & ended up with a tiny waist. I was initially going to go with him but the timing wasnt right & now were moving in a couple of weeks. I have also stalked this site for yrs. From what I've read its easier to sleep in a recliner at first & they say to walk hunched over for the 1st days after a tummy tuck so the incisions will heal, also drink lots of pineapple juice & green veggies that have iron in them since you lose a lot of blood during surgery. My surgery is on April 16 with another Dr & she gave me a list of vitamins to take I started them last month, they are folic acid, vitamin b complex, ferous sulfate, vitamin c, also I'm buying the Vitamedica Pack Surgery kit I heard a lot of good things about it so I'm going to try it it promotes healing & helps with the swelling. I'm also buying arnica gel or cream or oil not sure which one yet, that makes bruising go away. My dr also advised not to eat anything with vitamin k 2 weeks before surgery, stop smoking & stop taking aspirin or other things that will increase bleeding. I hope that helps!

Thank you so much I also started vitamins. I think I was too nervous at the consult to ask the right questions but I will have a ton of questions at my pre op this week

I went in for my pre op again. I was a bag of nerves...But my PS and his staff immediately put me at ease. Now I am just excited and ready to get this done for myself. I will be off work for 30 days and my mom is coming to help with my baby for 2 or 3 weeks. Now to get all my supplies and grocery shopping out the way...
