Well I went back to Dr. S. today for my three month evaluation post-op. I noticed around Christmas that all of a sudden my body shrank so I was excited for the results. Total amount of inches lost so far...drumroll please....62 inches! Before surgery, I was 158lbs, and today I am 140lbs. My runs are getting faster without the extra inches slowing me down. My friends are complimenting me on how good I look and they have no idea I had this procedure. I love it!

I am a pretty healthy 36 year old runner who has one child. I was thin my whole life, without even trying. Once I got over 30 and had my child, I had bulges in places I never had before. Running, crossfit, and eating somewhat healthy still wasn't doing it for my body. I slowly stopped posing for pictures and was the one taking the pictures.
My husband caught me looking at liposuction on the web and he actually supported me and said "Go for it. I love you however you look but if you want to, do it now so you can enjoy your looks." So, I started on my journey looking for a plastic surgeon. I probably read every article and review on real self so I had a good idea of what I wanted, what to expect, and what to avoid. Dr. Schlesinger had tons of wonderful reviews so I was intrigued to meet him. I set my consultations up with him and two other plastic surgeons. One was recommended by a friend and the other was featured in Honolulu Magazine as a top plastic surgeon.
Dr. Schlesinger was the only one who looked at my body as a whole, and not pieces. I told each doctor I wanted my back, flanks, stomach, hips, thighs, and neck done. If I was going under, I wanted it all. Dr. Schlesinger was the only doctor who pointed out that if I get my legs done, my knees need to also or my shape would not be complete. He even said he would do the knees free of charge because he has a vision for how he wants my body to look.
After reviewing notes I took from all three doctors, it was an easy choice to choose Dr. Schlesinger. I feel he's more of an artist than a clinical surgeon.
The liposuction procedure went well, and my recovery has been fine. Everyone in his offices are super nice, and he definitely has the most pleasant anesthesiologist I have ever met. The whole staff makes you feel very comfortable during your many visits.
So, am I happy? I am more than happy! It's been only one month since my liposuction and I am amazed to say I lost 57" on my body so far!!!! I never thought that it was possible to lose that many inches and Dr. Schlesinger said I will be losing more once my swelling is completely down! Just for a frame of reference on inches, before the procedure I was a size 8. I have my inspiration dress I keep in my closet that I bought in 2002 that probably hasn't fit me in 10 years. It's a size 2 and fits me now!
My confidence is back up and I couldn't be happier.

Dr. Schlesinger is a true artist and has a vision for your body. He's really amazing and you can tell he loves what he does. The staff is super friendly and they are always available for you. Dr. Schlesinger even saw me on a Sunday night when I was concerned over something. I highly recommend for liposuction.
