1 month after 2nd Session

It's been almost one month after my second session, the first 2 weeks were pretty rough. Luckily no blistering, but there were open sores (as previously pictured).

The area does get itchy, especially when it's hot and humid outside. I have to also wear high waisted, cotton panties/briefs so it doesn't stay moist and continue to itch.

I'm happy with my progress so far.

1 week after 2nd session going GREAT

It's been one week after my second session and boy was it a rough week. I struggled a lot more this time versus the first round. I didn't blister (thank god) but I babied an "almost" infection.

During the day, I use the extra long (the biggest available at Walmart) non-stick gauze and tape it up while I'm at work. Since I put it on at 5a, I'll switch it out around 11/noon for a clean one. I'll put the baby Neosporin (it foams) and let it dry before putting on a new "pad". When I get home from work, I'll take it off, lightly clean the area with anti-bacterial soap, lightly dab it dry with a microfiber towel, and lather on organic coconut oil.

I did bleed during my session and in the pictures where it's black, that's were I bled. The entire area is sensitive if I press down a little hard and since I am a stomach/side sleeper, it's hard to get comfortable at night. However, I am so impressed with the results so far. I'm hoping I can start working out next week. I may try today, but I don't want an infection or for the area to rub on my clothes when I run.

The shop told me that they may able to reduce the amount of the tattoo removal cost depending on how much everything has faded, which, I'm happy about. I know the other places I talked to in town that remove tattoos said it's the same price from start to finish. I'm hoping it takes only 1 more session.

Also, if anyone does read this, I do not recommend paying for numbing cream or any sort of pain numbing shot. I have a large tattoo being removed and I don't feel anything. The second time I did feel a little bit but it's kind of like a sensation eating pop rocks candy. It's more of a "what's that" versus "ouch".

The shop I go to uses ice and it literally numbs the area so well that I don't feel a thing. Another office wanted to charge me $70 for the pain numbing options.

I follow this bada** girl on IG, she's super fit and very likable. I saw one of her videos where she's screaming because the tattoo removal process hurts. You can see a lady with a baggie of ice, she puts it there for maybe 10 seconds and then starts the laser! The place I go to uses ice, but it's iced for a good 7 - 10 minutes before and it's iced during the process (one person is working the laser while the other is holding the ice in the next section). I don't know if the girl is overreacting or if it wasn't iced enough, but to me, I did not have that experience at all.

Second Session Down

I had my second session on Sat Aug 5th. The laser was intensified. I was told that I bled during this session, it didn't hurt since it was iced pretty well.

When I swapped out the bandage, there were signs of blood all over. It makes me a little worried, especially now since it hurts (a few days later) I'm sure I will scab. I've been keeping it bandaged during the day and airing it out at night. I've been keeping it clean and healthy.

I waited 6 weeks in between sessions. This time I'm waiting 10 weeks (if not more). I had significant process and I'm happy to see how this session did. There were some spots that were nearly faded away.

Fingers crossed that it's almost gone.
