Left breast continues to stretch, and just look bad. In tops if I don't wear a bra it is positively obvious that I have two very different breasts.

It is difficult to schedule multiple surgeries so close together when we are so far away from family and help. Hoping to get my revision is March, but might end up having to do the first week of April.
I have family coming at the end of this month and at the end of March. Hopefully I am able to find a swim suit that can disguise my left breast. It does feel nice to get in some workouts now though. I wasn't able to work out for months! That's a true challenge for me considered I went from working out 7 days a week to none.
My right breast is still healing beautifully. The tingling sensation is coming on as the nerves heal themselves. I am continuing to take the Accolate, and the breast is staying nice and soft. If you doctor doesn't use methods of preventing CC such as having you take Accolate or using Strattice be sure to ask him his opinion on these options. A little bit of prevention can save you from the long, exhausting experience of having Capsular Contracture.

It makes me mad & makes me laugh at the same time when I see women posting asking the Doctors if they could have capsular contracture. They are all so quick to say no no no it doesn't happen this quickly. Nothing is impossible, and you know your body better than anyone. It is not impossible, and I am living proof that it happens as early as it did with me.

Healing after my revision to correct the capsular contracture.

Lleighl
It's been over a month now since I had my revision done to correct the capsular contracture on my right side. I am so thankful I don't have to be embarrassed, or hide a breast up at my collar bone anymore. Healing after the revision was much easier than healing from the original surgery. The feeling is coming back in my nipple, and my scars are really remarkably perfect. My surgeon gave me some topical scar treatment - "ScarFade" it's the best I have tried.

I know I should feel so happy to have the CC fixed, but if you've read my updates I now have to go back for a revision to correct my left side as well. It's bottoming out, and the lower pole just keeps stretching more causing the nipple to go higher. It just makes me want to cry.

I wanted this so badly, and now I feel sort of ashamed of myself. When I lay down my left breast drops completely off to the side. My closest friends admit it is noticeable that they are completely different.

I originally tried on sizers & thought I would like a 400-450cc implant. My original surgeon told me I wouldn't be able to go over a 400. He thought it would end up looking badly on my frame. Now that I have at least one breast done correctly by my new surgeon I really believe a larger implant would fit my body better. Having the implant placed directly behind the nipple you get a better idea ( based on your body type, weight, nipple size etc. ) what implant would match your body the best.

I told my new surgeon that I just felt like they need to be bigger to look better with my body. He agreed completely, and said he had the same opinion from the first time he examined me. Together we decided he will switch my implants for 500cc and see how those fit with my size. With the left breast so poorly positioned, and falling to the side I have this huge gap between my breasts-- no cleavage at all.

This was supposed to be enjoyable. You live and you learn.. I hope I will eventually have a chest to be proud of instead of something to worry about.

Thank god for good surgeons willing to take on broken patients like myself.

So sorry your having to go through that, I'm getting nervous about the possible what ifs and all the things that can go wrong. Hopefully my PS will accept his mistake (if one is made) and help in the repair! Good luck with your upcoming revision and upgrade.

Don't worry! Make sure when choosing your surgeon you ask what would happen should something out of your control go wrong within the first 30 days. An experienced surgeon would say " I will fix it" without a second thought! Good luck

2 weeks after my revision

Lleighl
Two weeks ago I had my revision to fix the capsular contracture in my right breast. Surgery went great, and the healing was very smooth! My surgeon is very knowledgable about how to treat capsular contracture, and prevent it from happening again. This really helped to put my mind at ease. :-)

With my previous surgeon I had never gone through any time of plastic surgery process so I didn't know what to expect. Having gone through with the revision with my new surgeon I am now seeing the differences in a good surgeon and a great surgeon. My new doctor is so thorough on the entire process, and takes every step to make sure things go as planned. It feels refreshing to have someone that treats you like a person instead of just another patient.

My surgeon told me after surgery that he had removed the entire capsule, and it was much thicker than he had anticipated. He also showed me some of the gross leftover blood he cleaned out from the untreated hematoma that had initially caused my capsular contract. I remember after I woke up he told me that had I given him permission he would have fixed a few things on my left breast as well. At the time I didn't really understand. I knew that I wasn't thrilled with the outcome of my left breast, but I didn't understand what he meant it needed fixing. It turns out that my suspicions were true, and there are issues with my left breast as well. It is bottoming out, and I will now need a 2nd revision surgery. To most people this would seem terrible, but with my surgeon ( Dr. Schlesinger here in Hawaii) I have no worries at all. I know he will makes things right for me. He has taken my nightmare, and turned it into a learning experience. I trust him with my life, and he just knows the ins and outs of the entire process so well that I know he will fix my previous surgeons mistakes and I will eventually have the breasts I wanted.

I am so saddened by this entire process. I was just a normal woman wanting to have her breasts done. I saved up my money like a normal person, did research and though I had decided on a reputable surgeon. Unfortunately when things went wrong, he didn't perform the way you would expect a doctor who looked you in the eye and told you he would give you beautiful results to perform.

I didn't do anything wrong, and all I can do is thank god I found Dr. Schlesinger. He is making things right for me. I hope I can soon be back to my normal, active self.
