Wanted to give myself the ultimate Birthday...
Wanted to give myself the ultimate Birthday present before turning 45 this year... did extensive research on the type of breast augmentation procedure I'd have done. I found that going under the pectoral muscle was the way to go as far as looking and feeling the most natural. Understanding that this procedure may take a little longer to heal, but so worth it!!!
Surgery was...pretty much bing, bam, boom! Stayed overnight after surgery in a recovery facility with the best nurses ever! I've heard and seen ppl go from surgery to straight home bound only providing that someone is there to take care of them, empty drains and so on for the next 24 hours. I am so, so glad that this Dr. offers this after care facility to us patients. Of course a small fee, but trust, you're gonna need it.
I have gone from a 36B old sock to a stand up 36D or DD. They say, the actual size will be determined after the drop and swelling has subsided, approximately 3-6 months, the real true size. Being that I am only 3 1/2 weeks post op, I am so loving the outcome thus far. At this point of post op, my breasts have completely filled the pocket and have amazingly dropped a whole lot into position. They are already soft to the touch, although still a little numb and sensitive in certain areas, but very tolerable. My underarm scars have slightly shrunk down some, as far as swelling goes, but still dark in color and unsightly. I'd say overall, the pain has gone down dramatically from a whoaaaah, whopping, screaming "10!" with drains, erected nipples, bruises, swelling and high to hog heaven breastessesses...to a beautiful, calm, blissful "3". Nipple and breasts are slightly tender to the touch, but all in all, I am able to do almost everything physically (reaching, lifting, pulling, bending).
Honestly, I am so, so happy that I had chosen this type of procedure over the others. I've seen so many unnatural, unsightly, botched boobs, looking like grape fruits laying on a surf board with the "overs", at least the "unders", there will be less chances of getting capsular contracture, an easier mammography as far as detection for cancer and an overall natural appearance of real breasts. Oh yeah ****!!!bonus, bonus!!!**** Not only did I choose the best procedure, the best PS Dr. In the field ever, but let me tell you, he lipo'd my underarm fat at NO CHARGE $.00!!! to my understanding, he will remove the fat if needed and indeed it was needed! Oh, one more thing! He also offers ultrasound services to soften the tissue area by the incision for quicker healing results at a very, very small fee, as much as a plate lunch....who and what doctor does that? None! HA! But mines...lol! Thank you Dr.!!!! No regrets! You are the best! Would do it again in a heart beat.... Love my new-bies!!

So great everything worked out. It's so important to do your research and find what the best fit for you is, way to go! How fun has shopping been, what was the first thing you bought? Do you have any before and after photos you are comfortable sharing with us?
Aloha! Yes, extensive research is so important, especially when it comes to something as major as this. You are not bargain hunting here, you want the best!
As far as shopping, it has been exciting! Shopped for 3 bikinis so far, some blouses that I probably couldn't wear before. Can't wait to grab some sexy bras from VS once my breasts settle in! Yes! It has been extremely fun and this is only the beginning! Sorry..no before pix available... =(
