I was uncomfortable with the appearance of my right labia minora. My right labia minora protruded considerably outside of my right labia majora. It was slightly uncomfortable at times during physical activities such as biking and others, but for me it was more about feeling confident about my appearance and about both labia minora having a similar appearance and size. This issues was something that I was cognizant of and did not like for most of my life. When I got to the point in my life that I could actually take action, I did, and 1 month later after my surgery, I'm glad that I did. I was at first uneasy about the hoodectomy portion of the surgery as this was not my major concern, but was addressed by my surgeon as a procedure that would compliment my existing procedure and result in an overall more rewarding experience for me from an intimate perspective.
