I have used it and it cause me to develop skin hyper pigmentation in my face ( melasma) I have been battling this condition since then.
Do not use it! I had perfect skin and now struggle with heavy makeup and lightning creams to get rid of the patches.
I had one injection and went on holiday ,while on holiday I developed the first dark mark on my forehead .
I have olive skin and grew up on the beach with no problems until the day I decided to have a quick tan ! Please stay with the safety of self tan avoid anything else ! Including sun exposure !

Yes, thank you for sharing. You have convinced me it is not worth it just for a tan. Can you tell us how you are doing now, a year later? Perhaps a photo of your current condition and a "within the rules" description of the kind of Melanotan you injected? Thank you!

Well I am currently having laser and pigmentation treatments and has now improved but this means I will have to never expose my face in sunny days and has been since the weekend I took melanotan. I do know many people don't have the same reaction but I did and is not worth it . There are amazing tans in the market today and they do not involve injecting some strange product into your body.

It is not possible.
It is because of years of over exposure to the sun . It is only a co-incidence and doesn't make sense out of a medical /aesthetic point of view.

Melasma can be treated with low doses of hydroquinone in winter when you will not have any sun exposure for a few months (if available in your country)

I would like to know your age. Melasma is always appearing suddenly with age usually above 30. This must be a coincidence

I already had melasma before ever using it and found that it evened out it out, it made my face tanned evenly all over instead of my normal dark patches with light patches!

Agree please stay away .I used it two years ago only for a month or so and I developed malasma on my face .it's ruined my confidence and it's an on going battle to try cover it with awful thick makeup. I wish I could turn back the clock as I had lovely skin before hand I don't know why I bothered
Thanks for sharing on RealSelf.
