I started using Latisse and I loved how my eyelashes grew dramatically, but after 8 months I started noticing that I looked weird. After reading about it, I noticed how my eyes looked sunken something that changed my look expression completely. I will never use this product again. Not worth for the sake of long lashes.

have you been buying the original Latisse brand product or a generic substitute? If a generic, can I ask which online site you've been getting your supply from? there are many sites advertising Careprost and Bimatoprost which is the generic equivalent, but the sites sometimes are shady and got bad reviews. I'm hesitant to order from a site that I am no familiar with. Appreciate any feedback about a trustworthy online supplier. Thanks.

I used the original Latisse brand.

I buy the generic Bimatoprost Ophthalmic from reliablepharmacy.com for a .03 3ml bottle. The active ingredient in Latisse is bimatoprost and online it is $11.90. The pharmacy is in India, but very well researched. Also buy my Retin A from them

So if you have an excess of fat causing hooded eyes, do you think it would get rid of that? The area above my eyelid almost covers my eyelid. If it shrinks that part it may postpone the need for an eye lift. What is your opinion as to whether it would shrink that area above the lid?

Yes, it may be beneficial for you. In fact, bimatoprost (active ingredient in Latisse) may be marketed in the future as "blepharoplasty in a bottle."
The loss of fat around and behind my eyes due to Latisse was very aging, but for some with unwanted hooded eyes or bags it may be a desired effect.

I too have hooded eyelids, extra skin and was wondering the same thing. Another lady posted on this site using the generic brand , it looked like she got a
eyelid surgery as it appeared to have made her upper lid shrink (she had hooded lids).

Hi I actually noticed that in another post but didn't want to say anything. Use Lilash I sell it in my salon and use it. Amazing stuff!

. ANY product that contains prostaglandins will do this, according to my eye doctor and numerous online sources. It doesn't matter if you buy the ridiculously overpriced Latisse, or the identical Lumigan, or cheapo Careprost (they all contain the exact same active ingredient, Bimatoprost in the same amount) , or any of the expensive knock-offs. If it contains Prostaglandin or synthetic Prostagladin, it will "eat" your eye fat and cause darkening of your skin. Even LiLash.

You look great, but I cannot believe that using this product on your lashes changed your eyes so drastically! And in such a short time! You're gorgeous, and please don't mistake me, but it looks like a totally different person from your before photo to your after! I don't understand how someone with loose skin on the eyelids could benefit? It seems like your eyes were firm, then after using this product the skin became loose? So how would that benefit someone with hooded eyes? I have hooded eyes, I think it's hereditary. My mother had so much loose skin on her eyelids that it was interfering with her vision. She had surgery to have the excess skin removed (which was not covered by insurance, although it drastically impaired her eyesight?!) and they removed 2 inches of skin from each eyelid! I couldn't believe that there was so much extra skin! I know I'm kind of all over the place here with my comment, and I apologize for that. I wanted to see if you could help me understand how it would benefit someone with hooded eyes if it made your firm eyes have the appearance of having more skin? Thank you for sharing this!
June 21, 2017
Well. I cam promise you that the only thing done to my face and eyes was the use of Latisse.
June 21, 2017
I understand, and I apologize if it seemed that I was doubting you. I was just wondering based on other comments, how this would help someone with hooded eyes? It seems that it would make them more hooded? Perhaps I am misunderstanding. I really do apologize if it seemed that I was rude in any way or questioning your testimony! I certainly did not mean to come across this way!

It wouldn't help. I don't understand why anyone would think so. It would just make them more sunken. It's not a good look. And very aging, trust me.

Well this is my update. The hollowness has disappeared but I still have one eye darker than the other. Unfortunately, I think this will be permanent. I am attaching a recent photo. Check the difference in color.

I did read that it had the possible side effect of causing increased brown pigmentation. I was afraid of using it because of that. You still look beautiful though.

Cause my eyes to itch after using one week. I also noticed the “sunken eye Look” and I appeared to have “Racoon Eyes” ( Heavy Dark circles under my eyes).

I was careful to use this product sparingly, but, unfortunately, I had to stop using due to the irritation and itching.

Well, I tried.. Cost was $175.

I’ll continue to wear my false eye lashes as usual.

I noticed it caused a little itchiness at first as well but then it went away. I'm very pleased with the results because fake eyelashes were a complete and total burden and pain. And I was to the point where I had no choice but to use them.

Looks like you have one eye with makeup so I can’t really see the difference
