At-home Microneedling for Scar
ORIGINAL POST
I have a scar on my cheek where I had a lesion...
WORTH IT$50
I have a scar on my cheek where I had a lesion removed years ago. I did a lot of reading online, reviewing research, and I decided to try needling at home. Ordered a few dermarollers and stamps (different brands) of varying lengths. Have preferred the 1.0 and 1.5 needle lengths. Also got some numbing cream. Have needled/stamped 4 times now, once per month. It hurts but is tolerable after numbing cream. My scar is still there, but I can tell an improvement, so I am thrilled. Going to keep needling.

Congratulations on your results and thanks so much for the review. I want to purchase one for home use as well, currently I am having it done on my face at a skincare specialist's office. Good to know you had some results doing it yourself and smart to start out slow. Thank you.
Where did you get your dermarollers? I bought one on Amazon but the "needles" aren't actual needles, they look more like knives.
This is very interesting to me, for i am looking into trying my hand at these microneedling procedures. I have read alot of about them, and have had mix reviews, so its great to hear someone else having some results. May i ask if you used any cream other than numbing cream? I heard to use Hydraulic Acid along with the procedure to help with the healing process.
I found the 1.5mm needles to be more effective on my chin ,cheek and forehead. I found the 2.0mm needles to be very effective for my stretchmarks. My stretchmarks improved by almost 80% in a year. I did apply hyaluronic acid after treatment and I did mine every 2 weeks, but I pressed lightly.
Awesome! Thank you for the confirmation on the Hyaluronic Acid.

Wow, that's amazing! It really has diminished! I'm curious, why do you prefer the 1.0 and 1.5 needle lengths?
