I'm excited to have this done. I've done my research and I have realistic expectations. Hoping for tightening of the jowls, though I know it takes months to see the final results. Kim Daily (PA at Holcomb Kreithen Plastic Surgery here in Sarasota) has explained exactly what will happen today. She has been very patient and kind and I'm happy to work with her. I'll keep you all posted!

procedure was painful but tolerable (with Demerol)
I had my ultherapy procedure yesterday. I had an injection of a narcotic so I was feeling pretty good, though it was still painful. The weird thing about it is that every time the energy was pulsed into my skin felt different from the last time, depending on what nerves and muscles were under the skin. Mostly I just relaxed. I'd say 10% of the pulses were painful, but really with the narcotic it was fine. I'm a bit sore this morning (the day after), but there is no bruising. I took today off from work but I certainly could have worked today without a problem.

Thank you! This is day 5 and every morning when I look in the mirror I still can't believe it. I'm thrilled with the results so far. My face is still quite sore and sensitive, but that's a small price to pay for the results.

from what i have read on here, there is swelling initially which may be what you are seeing. you will see the real results are 3-6 months out. good luck!
