Pre op appointment:
I met with Dr. Burns and Amarrah, his nurse. They are both kind. They looked at my body. We discussed my hip dips, breast goals, and abdominal etching. I then was taken back for 360 photos.
Surgery day:
I came in and we directed to the pre op area. Inside is a heated chair, blanket and gown. I was greeted by the nurse who assisted with a urine sample and paperwork. The anesthesiologist asked a list of questions, then started my IV. Dr. Burns came in and marked the graft areas, outlined my breast, and the hip dips. I had fat pulled from my arms, bra rolls, abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, and lower back. He also outlined the etching, which was two vertical lines on my abdomen to create a better appearance of abs. I was then walked back to the OR. I laid on a warm table, and that’s all I remember.
Waking up from surgery:
I was SCREAMING. Literally SCREAMING in pain. My nurse was Sarah, and honestly, I didn’t feel that she cared. I do believe she gave me pain meds, but as I was screaming, she shoved a paper in my face with the pain medications she had administered as if that would help my pain… it didn’t. I would have preferred a more compassionate nurse, and it was really unfortunate to be treated that way. I brought my own compression stockings because the OR ones tend to slip. I asked if she can help me put them on, and she said she’ll see. I eventually put them on myself, in pain. She also tried to wheel me out of the pre op area after only putting one arm in my top. I asked if she can at least help me finish getting dressed before shoving me out the door. She then wheeled me to my car. This nurse isn’t connected to Dr. Burns, just the surgery center he uses.
Recovery:
OMG, the PAIN. I was given Norco 5. I took 2 every 4 hours and it didn’t really touch the pain. I let the office know. My medication was not changed, but they added Valium which helped. I believe I had more pain because this was my second round of lipo in some areas. I’m almost two weeks out and I still have pain. Not as severe, but noticeable. I take Tylenol extra strength.
It was also hard to find a sleeping position because fat was added to both hips and breast. I didn’t want to put pressure on either. I sleep on my back with hips elevated.
Post op call:
I had a call with Dr. Burns since I am an out of state patient. He removed 1100 of fat. Placed 200 in each hip, 350 in each breast. I also asked for topical scar cream to help with hyperpigmentation since that tends to happen to me. Overall, the call was positive and informative.
Overall:
Surgery is not easy, and everyone’s experience is different. I enjoyed my experience with Dr. Burns, and I’m glad I chose him as my surgeon. It’s too early to tell if the fat will take, but I will post an update in a month or 2 with before and after pics.

I don't want boxy hips at all. I'd like a pear shape, and it seems like this type of shape has lower sitting hips. I'm hoping that is something that is doable. I also plan to work out and continue to build muscle in my thighs.
I feel that liposuction and fat transfers achieve the best results when someone is already near their goal. I'm not far from where I'd like to be, I just need a little help along with my own work out plan.

Slim Athletic Build
I wanted to post a before picture. Don't get me wrong, I think that I've done a good amount of toning on my own. It's just I'd like more defined abs, that I can't seem to achieve with workout alone. I also have hip dips, and would like a more curve. I'd also like to go up a cup in breast to add to the curves I want.
I'm a little nervous about the amount of fat that he will be able to get. I'd like at least 500 per breast, and 600 per hip. I'd live to get at least 3L of fat off my body. He says this is doable, so fingers crossed it is.

You look like you're pretty curvy already! I see from your other reviews that you've had two breast fat transfers before, and the first one replaced implants. If you don't mind me asking, how much was transferred in the previous times, and what is your current size going into this one?

I started at a large A, small B. Got the first transfer, Went up to a full B. After this second transfer, I'm a small C. I'd like to be a small D.

How is everything maintaining for you?I'm considering the same surgeries with Dr. Burns or one of the other surgeons at the facility. Please may I see some updated photos and more pre surgery photos?
