Finding out I was headed toward a double mastectomy was a whirlwind of shock to say the least. Then I met Dr. Hijjawi. He had only transferred here one month prior, so I count myself as one of his first patients in SLC. He is one of the most genuine and kind doctors I have ever met. He and his wonderful staff have been willing to stay on this journey with me to completion. My initial surgery was nearly 11 hours. He performed a DIEP flap reconstruction. I had several health care staff interested in seeing the incisions. Everyone was beyond impressed. But no one is more grateful than me. He is an excellent surgeon.
