Highly Recommended for Hair Transplant!
WORTH IT
My hairline had been receding and getting thinner on top for several years, by the time I had reached my late 50s this was increasingly noticeable and I was becoming very self-conscious of my hair loss, especially under bright lights where you could see my scalp through my thinning hair.
After a family relative and an associate had a hair transplant successfully and I saw the result I was encouraged to take the leap myself. I am very, very pleased that I did. After researching London-based clinics and reading reviews on a hair transplant social network, I made an appointment with The Westminster Medical Group to see Dr Deme.
During the consultation Dr Deme explained the process and patiently answered my many questions. He also examined and photographed my hair and suggested FUE treatment with around 3500-4000 transplants. We agreed on a new hairline which Dr Deme drew on my head to illustrate.
Dr Deme, calm and informative approach during the consultation, along with very positive reviews and case studies helped me to decide to proceed with WMG. The fees are also very reasonable, especially for a London-based, Harley Street practice.
On the day of the treatment, I arrived early (around 8AM) and was prepared for treatment. The treatment itself took around four hours in the morning to extract the follicles from the donor area, followed by a lunch break. Then in the afternoon Dr Deme and his assistants proceeded with the implant process which took into the early evening. Throughout, Dr Deme and his team were very professional and friendly which helped me to relax. The treatment itself was painless. I was then given a home kit (inc. saline water sprays and specialist shampoo) and given instructions for aftercare. I then got a taxi home.
On first seeing the results I was very excited, I had a hairline back that I hadn’t had for years! The implanted follicles appear as tiny red dots (which are actually scabs). I returned to the clinic a few days after treatment for a shampoo, which Dr Deme’s assistant was very gentle applying, also showing me how to safely wash my own hair. As expected, my forehead did swell up for a few days and the scabbing increased, but then receded and the scabbing fell off after a week or two. Then, again as expected I shed the new implants, which was perhaps the most worrying period. But after a few weeks the new follicles started to appear as fine hair, which increased in thickness over the months.
It is now 6 months after the treatment and friends and family have been very impressed with the results. My hairline in better than it has been for many years and my hair is increasing in thickness (it is about 60% into the regrowth period which will take a year). It has made me look younger and feel more confident.
I would highly recommend Dr Deme for FUE hair transplant, I am delighted with the results!
