2 days until my final tray!

On the 8th I have an appointment scheduled to get tray 13! My teeth so far have seated very nicely in tray 12 and I'm really excited to finally be done! One thing I'll have to ask about is that I was reading in quite a few forums and people said they were told to wear a retainer regularly for 6-12 months, then every night afterwards. I wasn't told that I would have to wear a retainer for the rest of my life and that worries me quite a bit. Any thoughts?

I have one month of Invisalign left and I have to...

I have one month of Invisalign left and I have to say. I loved it! I had 13 top trays and 9 bottom trays. I finished my bottom and am just wearing tray 9 as sort of a "retainer" until I finish my top trays. I have so far been the youngest person to (almost) complete an Invisalign treatment in my town (13 when I got it, 14 now). My bottom teeth just had very minor improvements such as my left canine tooth bent inwards slightly. my top teeth however had 'rabbit teeth', so they needed a few more trays than the bottom to finish the corrections. I have 8 attachments at the moment, i had 7 up until tray 10 where my plan required an additional attachment to be added onto my upper teeth. I have to admit I was very careless during my treatment, often not wearing trays for days at a time (I had a 2 week trip to Europe and I did not wear it a single time) but other than being asked to wear tray 11 for an additional week I am glad to say that everything has ran smoothly so far and my teeth have moved tremendously. I would often have to skip sets of trays to keep up with the time deadlines and I did find that being quite painful but if I had been wearing them properly I would've found the switch almost painless. I also did learn how to snack with my trays in so that on super painful days I wouldn't have to take my trays out more than the standard 2 times a day for brushing. Taking my trays out to eat wasn't a big problem but being a tea addict I found it very hard to not be able to sip tea throughout the course of the day. Other than that I don't have complaints and I think that's about it! I hope everyone loves/loved their Invisalign experience as much as I do and to anyone contemplating getting an Invisalign I high recommend it. (Just listen to your dentists and don't make the same silly mistakes I did haha)
