I have one month of Invisalign left and I have to say. I loved it! I had 13 top trays and 9 bottom trays. I finished my bottom and am just wearing tray 9 as sort of a "retainer" until I finish my top trays. I have so far been the youngest person to (almost) complete an Invisalign treatment in my town (13 when I got it, 14 now). My bottom teeth just had very minor improvements such as my left canine tooth bent inwards slightly. my top teeth however had 'rabbit teeth', so they needed a few more trays than the bottom to finish the corrections. I have 8 attachments at the moment, i had 7 up until tray 10 where my plan required an additional attachment to be added onto my upper teeth. I have to admit I was very careless during my treatment, often not wearing trays for days at a time (I had a 2 week trip to Europe and I did not wear it a single time) but other than being asked to wear tray 11 for an additional week I am glad to say that everything has ran smoothly so far and my teeth have moved tremendously. I would often have to skip sets of trays to keep up with the time deadlines and I did find that being quite painful but if I had been wearing them properly I would've found the switch almost painless. I also did learn how to snack with my trays in so that on super painful days I wouldn't have to take my trays out more than the standard 2 times a day for brushing. Taking my trays out to eat wasn't a big problem but being a tea addict I found it very hard to not be able to sip tea throughout the course of the day. Other than that I don't have complaints and I think that's about it! I hope everyone loves/loved their Invisalign experience as much as I do and to anyone contemplating getting an Invisalign I high recommend it. (Just listen to your dentists and don't make the same silly mistakes I did haha)

I'm glad you had such a great experience with this treatment. Your smile looks wonderful. Can I ask how you figured out how to snack with your trays in? Please keep us posted on your journey!

Little things like popcorn without butter or even an apple are okay to eat (well that's what I did anyway hehe) I took my trays out for meals, so I still brushed about 5 times a day. I would just reccomend snacks that you don't need to chew a lot and that aren't sticky. Good luck!

2 days until my final tray!

On the 8th I have an appointment scheduled to get tray 13! My teeth so far have seated very nicely in tray 12 and I'm really excited to finally be done! One thing I'll have to ask about is that I was reading in quite a few forums and people said they were told to wear a retainer regularly for 6-12 months, then every night afterwards. I wasn't told that I would have to wear a retainer for the rest of my life and that worries me quite a bit. Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure we're all in the same boat of we're all gonna wear retainers at night indefinitely. There's a bonded wire retainer you may want to look into that requires it's own different maintenance, but at least you wouldn't have to put it in every night. I've read enough of these reviews of people who had braces in their teens and didn't wear the retainer and teeth shifted and it didn't even fit and now they need Invisalign that I've come to terms with retainers being inevitable.

I knew I would need them but I didn't think it would be that long! My mom had braces when she was younger and she wore the retainer for around 6 months at night and her teeth haven't budged, I was assuming that's what it would be like for me. I mean I can definetly suck it up its just that I would think they could've mentioned it a bit earlier on seeing as I'm finished my treatmen in 2 weeks lol

I think some people just get lucky and their teeth never move back, but since no one knows if you'll be a lucky one or not better safe than sorry! My ortho still hasn't mentioned retainers but I know it's coming, might as well be braced for it.
