WORTH IT$1,000
Six months ago I had one HIFU (similar to Ultherapy) treatment to reduce wrinkles and lax skin on my face, neck, and the back of my biceps.
Pain - Yes, it hurts. I live in a state where Cannabis is legal so I brought a vape pen with me which helped quite a bit. If that's not an option, take some sort of pain pill beforehand. My husband did it without one but they can only turn the machine as high as your tolerance so I was able to have a higher setting which I recommend.
On my face, I saw a tightening of the skin and a firmer, sharper jawline. I don't have fine lines and wrinkles there so no change in texture really.
On my neck, I have some laxness but I was also seeing some fine lines. The HIFU treatment did make a noticeable difference in both firmness and texture but I do feel like I need a follow-up. I feel like I'd need one or even two more treatments.
On the back of my arms, I have a loss of muscle tone. The HIFU did make a noticeable improvement but I'd like another treatment or two there as well.
My husband also had his face and neck done. His results were more impressive, especially on his neck. The clinician said that it's because he doesn't do as much routine skincare as I do. That's true and I agree that he probably had more improvement because he doesn't do the other smaller treatments I do like microcurrent, microdermabrasion, etc.
Overall it was worth it and I would, and probably will do it again. I live in a city so spas compete on pricing, AND I found a special deal online so I paid $1,000 for a face, neck, and bicep treatment. Normally it would cost double that.
This isn't a one-and-done treatment, you are supposed to return every 6- 18 months depending on your needs. For me it's worth it to target the two most difficult areas: neck and arms. There is no downtime or recovery. There will be some redness but you can cover it and continue with your day.
