Had Full TT on May 31st 2013 and so disappointed UGH. 7 years ago before I got pregnant I weight 130lbs the day I gave birth I was 206 so with a 76lb gain at 5 ft tall u can imagine how disgusting I felt. I was so ready to get out of those yoga pants and put on a pair of blue jeans so, With alot of hard work, determination, and 7 yrs later I was pretty much down to my pre baby weight but with alot of extra skin. I had already decided at year 5 I was going to go through with surgery and saved every penny I could to have the surgery. FINALLY after two years of saving it was time. I went in for my consultation with Dr. Swank of Hickory, NC I had done my research for years now so I knew exactly what I wanted and what I wanted my results to be. I told him that my main concern was my sides and could not wait to wear a pair of blue jeans. I told him with the research I had done and pictures I had reviewed that I thought I needed a full extended TT with lipo to the flanks and back but he said he didn't feel that way at all that he thought he could give me the results I wanted with just a full TT and no lipo because I didn't have a whole lot of fat. Well, after almost 5 months post op I was exactly right it is obvious that I needed exactly what I said because I still have the huge love handles and loose skin on my flanks UGH so depressing. Ohhh did I mention I am still wearing the yoga pants and still NO blue jeans. So, I go in for a follow up today and told him I was unhappy with the results and wanted to have it corrected and done the way I wanted it in the first place and now I am going to have to go though another surgery, take more time off work, and pay more money. Little did I know he is going to charge me 5000 more dollars to extend the TT, lipo the flanks and back. HMMMM do I think I should have to pay that kind of money for result of a TT im not happy with and doing a second surgery exactly the way I said I thought I needed the first time? Absolutely not!!!!! Someone please tell me I am right for feeling this way and give me some info on what I should do from here.

wow. what i do not understand i am pray an astute surgeon with such prowess can answer for yourself,chica, why pay all of the extra dinero?$ no way.he screw it up so should've offer to fix it without such thousands,again for repair SMH.good luck god speed to you,and i hope it all work out the way it SHOULD.

I had a consult at their office in Gastonia. They told me they didn't like to do lipo at the same time and that my scar only needed to go from front hip to hip. I had been on numerous other consults so I knew I needed the scar to reach around my sides. I guess they just like to do things their way. As far as lipo, since you did not get any at all I'm sure they want you to pay for it. But they need to extend your incision for FREE if you still have love handles.

Yea see that's the thing at my first consult I was willing to pay the extra cost for both the lipo and Extended TT but he said he could give me the results I needed with just a full TT but not the case at all and that's y Im so upset bc it should have been done that way the first time. I should not have to b going through this again and I feel it's his miss judgement and I should not have to pay for his mistakes

Oh my. I see the markings. That skin has been there all along. It didn't just grow there! He should have removed it to start with! I would fight for that portion to be free.

Oh yes it def has and I def tried my hardest for them to see it my way but I think he jus wants my money bc every TT video I have ever watched the surgeon always does sum lipo at the same time but he said he does not and to me that is jus to get more money out of pple and I think he knew I would b back for another surgery. I am jus curious if their is anyone else I could talk too to fight this? It's obvious the results r a joke

I could do lipo only but he still says I don't need it that I don't have a lot of fat their just skin but I could stand to have more cut off and have it extended bc I still have loose skin on my hips but what makes me mad is that he is supposed to b an experienced PS so why didn't he do that in the first place like I suggested I need instead of making me have a second surgery. Also I still have a pooch in my lower abdomen bc he did not do any lipo and I thought all PS do atleast sum lipo with a full TT to give great results but he said he does not do any lipo at the same time as a TT bc of the chance of the skin dying. He did not tell me this until my follow up yesterday.
