Well I just started my invisilign treatment about two weeks ago. I'm still on tray 1 but will probably switch to tray 2 tonight.
Have attachments/buttons on front teeth. My first tray didn't hurt as I thought it would after reading all the reviews. Think I have a year and a half treatment period

Not sure, when I went there he told me but I never wrote it down... I'm going to ask for the video and how many trays next time I see him in about a week. I do know I'm suppose to wear a tray for two weeks before switching and I think he said I'd be wearing them for a year in a half, but I'll confirm this when I see him..

It doesn't say on the little bags your trays come in? My ortho still hasn't told me how many I'm in for, but luckily Invisalign themselves clued me in a little

Okay to backup a bit... I had braces as a teen for overbite/overjet and I slight open bite... Probably didn't wear retainer like I should of so I relapsed.
A few months ago I started looking into invisilign and went to an orthodontist. Price seemed a little high so I waited for a tax return. Getting money i decided to get another opinion so I went to a dentist in Hershey pa. I was happy with the office and doctor and went with the treatment..
Breakdown timeline:
Scheduled first appointment which was really a consultation and was seen by the doctor in less than 3 days. Took X-rays and discussed plan.
Then had another appointment a week later to get impressions done.
A week after that watched the computer animated movement of my teeth and had the doctor order me the aligners
Two weeks later they arrived and I started my first tray.
i usually don't leave reviews but found the reviews here very helpful and would like to return the favor by submitting my own story overtime... Any questions feel free to ask

Tray 2, buttons, smoking, and cleaning information

Today I switched to tray two in the morning. They were are a little tight but they are not hurting.
I'm going to attach a photo of a close up of the aligner to show the buttons. I have buttons on my front upper teeth and other locations and they are somewhat noticeable in public at close range.
I love to drink beers and smoke cigarettes. However since getting the aligners I have been trying hard to quit smoking, so far unsuccessful. Anyways I smoke with aligners in and my first set of aligners were still clear and showed no sign of yellowing.
I drink water during the day but at night I switch to beer. My aligners do not smell bad as I read some people have problems with that. I clean them with a clean toothbrush with just water.. Also once or twice a day I put them in water with a retainer brite tablet.. Furthermore if I'm at home when I eat or take them out I always put them in a cup with clean water and just let them soak.
The 22hr requirement is somewhat easy to meet, never timed it but I'm close. If the aligners are out of my mouth I'm eating or cleaning my teeth. I probably spend a good 10mins cleaning my teeth before putting them back in. Not taking care of my teeth I finally realize it is an important thing to do. When cleaning them you have to get into every nook and cranny or these things are going to root.
One last note: I been using my phone to leave these reviews so sorry for format and typos
