1 year later after derma grafting to top lip

Socal_mom
WORTH IT$3,200
I wanted to had another photo of a better angle and this website I find it difficult to edit and add (I have to write at least 200 characters for it to allowed me to add) maybe it because I’m using my cell phone. Here’s a recent photo (you can tell by the mask) the derma grafting is the best I don’t know why you don’t see it done. Dr Pearson is the best. The derma grafting placement is the same as and implant, he makes a pocket and puts the tissue in the place the same way the implant is placed. Your body start to feed it blood within hours since it your own body. I didn’t have him trim it down I wanted the largest piece he could fit. You may lose some but I don’t believe I lost much, it has been a year and it’s perfect, full and plump. Love it.

I’m so glad I saw this. Never heard of this but I am going to ask Dr. P. about it. I had a 4 mm implant (lower lip only) by Dr. P. a few months ago, and we just agreed I need to have it removed because its dropped below my lower lip line. We discussed letting it heal for a few months, then possibly trying again with a 5 mm Permalip implant. But he didn’t mention derma grafting so I will for sure see if it might be an option for me. You look great!

What is derma grafting?

Had top removed and derma grafting done

Socal_mom
Hello its been a long time since I posted. I had problems with the top implant shifting out of place but Dr Pearson was amazing have fixed it 2 times before we removed it. So he told me we could do a derma graft but I had to wait for the pocket to heal. I waited about 5 months (to get the money to have the procedure done) normal wait is 6 weeks. The derma graft is the way to go. Dr Pearson removed some tissue from I top of my tail bone. I was surprised as I would never think there would be enough tissue in that location. I was awake it was done under a local so he showed me the piece (I wanted to see it). The scar is very minimal and hard to see. I’ve had it for a year now and my top lip is full soft , natural and permanent! No filler needed, I still have the bottom implant it hasn’t caused any issues.

Were your implants stitched in to keep in place? Do you think they would move when using your mouth/ lips a lot? Thanks- you look beautiful!

No my dr doesn't stitch them in place, I did ask him about that cause I did see one person that it was stitched in the middle and my dr said that the stitches on the sides hold them plus the pocket that the dr makes forms scar tissue around the implant that hold the implant also. I don't feel like they will move and I move my mouth a lot to do the lip stretches, They feel like there in place well.

Do you have any pre-implant pictures to show the difference that the 4mm and 5mm make? I'm just curious, because I have very thin lips naturally, and I'm wanting mine to look drastically fuller, but not unnatural. Those sizes fit you wonderfully. Looks beautiful. Not sure if they'd look that good on me though.

If you look at day 9 photo there is a before pic next to the after they are labeled.

I just want to add, that with lip implants they don't give you that "duck look" like filler cause the implant is place on the wet/dry boarded of the lip so it plumps your lips more natural then filler. So if you want them to be drastically fuller I personaly think you will be ok with the 5mm. Ask to see the implants at the dr. They have samples you can touch and see the size. But I'm very happy with the 5mm on top.

That was some really great info about filler vs implants. What do you mean by "wet/dry boarded"? Thanks!

I have reported your insulting comment "freak" and the rest of your comment is out of line.
