Juvederm nightmare continued....

So after 3 months my eyes started showing signs of improvement...only one day they would be fine and on another day (especially after an intake of salty foods and alcohol) the bags under my eyes would flare up! I couldn't take it anymore and so I decided to see a specialist. I went to a nurse practitioner who injected Hylenex. It was a miracle eraser. The bags under my eyes went away within minutes. I was so happy, I cried! It has only been one day but the results are unbelievable. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner!!! Happy and relieved. <3

I recently had Juvederm placed under the eye...

I recently had Juvederm placed under the eye troughs for a "refreshed look". I'm 44 and was starting to show hollowness under the eyes. I had such a great experience with Juvederm previously in the nasolabial folds and lips that I expected an equally pleasing outcome. I went to a reputable board-certified dermatolgist who told me I would be bruised for a couple of weeks. I was fully aware of the healing process and didn't give it much thought. After the procedure I walked out looking like a battered housewife and had to return to work the next day. It was horrifying!!!! Still, I was willing to give it the proper time to heal and metabolize into something beautiful. Two weeks of looking "roughed up" seemed reasonable for 9-12 months of beauty ...and anyway I live in Los Angeles where this is pretty common. But as the days/weeks went on, instead of looking better, I looked worse and worse. The pockets looked so bad!!! Instead of reducing the hollow look, I now had bluish HUGE BULGES under my eyes!!! I would KILL to look like I did before the procedure. HUGE MISTAKE!!! I was directed to the real self website and read as much as I could so that I could make an informed decision about whether or not to inject Hyaluronidase to reverse it. I decided I couldn't risk any more trauma as I was already so depressed and I couldn't live with an even worse outcome in the event of a complication. So I decided to wait it out. One thing we know for sure is that Juvederm eventually will go away.. I tried everything from massaging to using my Clarisonic to break down the product and I was so desperate that I even used liquid STEVIA after reading about it on this very website. I swear it worked!!! Most of the product has dissolved!!! I am so glad I didn't inject Vitrase or Hyaluronidase after seeing the photos posted by others. I thought I was going to be disfigured forever. It has been about 12 weeks and I am starting to look like myself again.
My advice from my own personal is experience is this...
1.) Wait it out!!!
2.) Get some organic liquid Stevia and use it before bedtime.
3.) Buy "Sudden Change" liquid serum and use 2 drops daily under the eyes. It helps.
4.) Put on some oversized glamorous sunglasses and play "movie star" for a few weeks.
5.) Refrain from eating salty foods.
6.) Drink lots of water!!!
7.) No alcohol until it resolves.
I am convinced there is light at the end of the tunnel! I will never do it again and it has been a huge lesson. I hope this helps someone in the same situation. ~
