I had profractional Laser done now 6 days ago . I have severe acne scaring on my checks that are 10 years old . My dermatologist recommended doing profractional Laser . I did picosure laser prior twice . Didn't see results with picosure so I tried profractional. I went to my post opp visit today my face redness is all gone . My scabs on my face have fallen off on there own . When I compress my face with water n vinegar as directed by dermatologist followed up by post balm they gave me . It's like aquaphor. Im still seeing my deep scars on my cheeks . She says she focused on those deeper scars . The scabs have fallen off and now there pink, but still very visible my scarring . At today's post opp appointment, being 6 days after now . She told me that I she wanted me to wait 3 months to see full results and that I'd have to wait that long until I can do my next one . To spot treat . I dunno I'm kinda sad by not seeing the scars visibly Better but I'll keep waiting to patiently see if it gets Better :)

I would choose a different dr. I had 5 profractional treatments in the last 7 months. The results are fantastic. I had 2 days of downtime after each treatment. On the 3rd day, I could use oxygentic to cover any redness and go to work. Waiting 3 months in between is not helpful.

Everyone's skin is different. Some doctors prefer to wait to see the full results of the treatment. My treatment was much more aggressive and now at month four I am really starting to see the results and feel what looked like a frightening mess really healing. I think that everyone's skin and issues are so individual.

Your MD is correct, that it takes 3-4 months to see results. I had my first one this Tuesday and this is what I was told as well.
