34, No Kids, 100lb Weightloss Through Diet and Exercise - Birmingham, AL

I was super excited about the prospect of finally seeing the results of my hard work by having the excess skin removed from my abdomen in addition to flank area. I wanted to look in the mirror and see the potential that hid behind the excess skin of losing 100 pounds. So, I started my journey about two years ago and decided on Dr. Hedden to do my procedure. We met a couple of times for consultations and decided the extended tummy tuck would be the better option for me. I am now 1 day post op and am very UNHAPPY! It's my opinion the procedure performed on me was a panniculectomy, and not the EXTENDED abdominoplasty. There was no contouring, I am still left with excess skin on my abdomen and still the issue with fatty flanks. I am so disappointed and was left feeling chastised, as though I should have been grateful to have some skin removed. What's more, I'm completely in shock because Dr. Hedden comes highly recommended and I saw firsthand the great work performed on a friend. I'm not sure why I was left with a suboptimal results?

Dr. Hedden was patient, kind and realistic in trying to manage my expectations. I'm 3 days post op and and excited to see the results once the swelling abates. I would highly recommend Dr. Hedden and plan to have my other transformation procedures done at his office.
