9 Weeks Post Op
WORTH IT$6,000
I am basically back to my regular self. I don't have anymore muscle spasms, pains, and a lot less tightness from the muscle repair. I work out daily with weights and cardio. I have not worked on my core yet because I want to wait atleast 6 months or so to make sure everything is healed properly. I still sleep with my CG because I like waking up super flat and plus it feels weird lying on my side without it. I guess I have gotten so used to thing annoying thing I don't wanna go without it yet lol. I started wearing crop tops and I can't describe how good it feels to be able to show off my tummy! There's some remaining stretch marks visible but that's not going to stop me! I love my new tummy. It feels so good to not have to hide that wrinkly saggy mess of a belly I had before! Best wishes to all you beautiful TT ladies!

Congrats on the beautiful tummy mama! I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking. I read that you had a BA before your TT so I'm wondering 1. How long was the surgeries from each other 2. Have you noticed a difference in the position of your breast after your TT surgery and 3. What is your BA stats? We seem to be around the same size and I am scheduled for my BA next Thursday but my next goal is a TT bc after having 3 kids my stomach is yucky. But getting the TT after the BA concerned my grandmother. I had not thought about it until she mentioned it.

Thanks! I don't mind answering any questions. 1. I had my BA (plus a breast lift) April 2013. So they're a little over a year apart. 2. My breast positioning hasn't changed at all after my TT. They are still in the same place. Thankfully they didn't drop any! Although, I had a lift so they are more kept in place. 3. I am not sure what you mean by BA stats? Are you talking about size?

Like did you have silicone or saline, high profile or moderate and under or over muscle?

Oh okay! I got silicone 500 cc's. I was a 34 A before and now I am a 34 DD. I chose moderate, more natural looking profile. And they were placed under the muscle. I love them. Recovery for that is far more easier than a TT. You will be glad you did it :)

You look Awesome!!! I'm scheduled to have a tummy tuck done by Dr. Hedden on Aug 28...I'm really excited...thanks for sharing your experience!!..It really helps with letting me know what to look forward to...however I do know everybody healing is different (I'm praying mines will not be so bad). Did you have to ask for the Experal? The nurse didn't mention it to me at the consultation....but I don't have my pre-op until next Tuesday...so maybe she will mention it then. What time was your surgery scheduled for? The nurse did say they would call me the day before with the time. One last question...I know this is a lot...lol...did you have your flanks done also?

Thank you so much!! Dr. Hedden is wonderful! You will be in good hands for sure. I had no clue what Exparel was until I mentioned to Dr. Hedden about how I was concerned with the pain of the muscle repair with taking care of my kids. Then he mentioned the shot of Experal that would help with pain. He said it would be $500 more but I was willing to pay it if it was going to help me recover better. I highly recommend it. I barely had any pain, just discomfort. My surgery was scheduled for 8AM and I believe I went back around 9 or so. The surgery took about 2 hours. I didn't have my flanks done. Good luck to you!! It's so exciting to get a new tummy :)

Wow! you are one of the lucky ones who do not swell a lot.. congrats!

Thank you! I was swollen at the end of each day the first 4 weeks but now I barely notice any swelling. I am definitely glad it isn't anything like it was in the beginning. I still sleep with my CG each night to help minimize any possible swelling.

Hi, How have you been?? I'm getting closer to surgery so I'm really excited. I called and asked the nurse about the Experal..She said I could request it the day of surgery. So I'm debating about getting it. Are you still swelling?

Definitely get it if you can! It helped me so much through recovery. I have been doing good! I honestly don't notice much swelling anymore. Even after a long shift at work or after working out I am usually still flat. I have some days where I may feel flatter than others, but nothing too obvious. I still sleep with my CG each night and that usually allows me to wake up super flat. I have been sticking to a clean diet so I drink plenty of water and keep away from anything that could cause me to bloat. It's not really tummy tuck related, just trying to live a healthy lifestyle, but my tummy benefits from it :) Best wish to you and your recovery! You will look amazing! I don't regret my surfery one bit and I would do it all over again if I had to. It's one of the best decisions I've made for myself.

My TT is in 9 days and I am sooo nervous. You look absolutely amazing and your posts have eased my fears considerably- thank you so much! My tummy looks exactly the way yours did pre op... I have three children as well and I'm tiny and exercise a lot, so the damn saggy tummy drives me crazy! I am so glad your experience has been so positive. Thank you for sharing and I hope your recovery continues to go smoothly!

I'm so glad my reviews on here have helped ease your mind! Recovery for me was not bad at all! I would do it all over again if I had to. Just keep the mindset of willing to go through whatever it takes to get to where you want to be. I went in for surgery expecting the worst, but I was ok with that because I was willing to do whatever it'd take to fix my stomach. But thank the Lord, I had such a great recovery! My PS used Experal, it is sooo worth it!! There will be some discomfort, but just remember it gets better each day!! And enjoy this time resting :) I pray your recovery goes smoothly as well.
