DO NOT GO TO HEALING WATERS MED SPA IN WICHITA, KS OR NORTH CAROLINA
DO NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF PLASTIC SURGERY AT HEALING WATERS unless you have money to throw away and want to take a chance. Go to a board certified plastic surgeon who has own office. Healing waters will NOT help to resolve any failed procedures. Amanda Gorecki will take your money only. The promises made on their web site and in their commercials are not true at least not for me.
Gained weight after quitting smoking. Went to a medical day spa, Healing Waters in Wichita, KS. Had upper and lower abdomen done and asked that hips be done. Hips were replaced by "lower flank" on the paperwork. Also had my inner thighs done. Results: BARELY NOTICEABLE. Only 1/4" difference in inner thighs. Still weigh the same, measurements are the same, clothes fit the same. I even look worse than before because I have an indentation on my butt where the canula (sp?) was inserted which now makes my butt look like it has a shelf. Nothing above the site has changed and below looks even bigger! Amanda Gorecki, the owner and founder of Healing Waters, asked me to be examined by another Healing Waters plastic surgeon. This plastic surgeon said I needed a tummy tuck. The additional cost for this was a "discounted" $5600. If that is what I needed in the first place, why did Healing Waters not suggest that instead of just taking my money.
Amanda claims no responsibility, blames everything on Dr. Davis who performed the procedure and says I should go after him Dr. Davis. Healing Waters is only responsible for nurses and failed equipment. Dr. Davis left Healing Waters about 4 weeks after my procedure and claims the Healing Waters owner, Amanda Gorecki, has taken legal action to prevent Dr. Davis from contacting any of his patients. Kind of a catch-22. I'm not sure who to believe, I think neither of them.
Filed a report with the Better Business Bureau to no avail because of HIPA privacy. Contacted the Consumer Division of the DA's office and they said to hire a private attorney. I was told by another plastic surgeon that I should have been recommended to have a tummy tuck instead of SmartLipo. (Ethically, I should have been advised to do a tummy tuck at the time I consulted for SmartLipo. I just want at least 75% of my money back so I can get a tummy tuck from a board certified Plastic Surgeon (after I can save the money on my retirement income). I don't want to spend it on an attorney. Besides, I was very nervous the day of the procedure when they had me sign all consult forms. I initialed a couple of things I probably shouldn't have. M
I spent my early retirement bonus (my choice was to retire or get laid-off) on NOTHING and as far as I can tell, I have NO recourse in getting it back. Basically, I took $7700 and flushed it down the toilet. You would think there were some kind of law of board that governs medical spas but I guess you have to have plenty of money for that.
I am 59 years old and expected loose skin but I don't have to worry about that now.
I will only go to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon from now on, no Med Spa's for me. It's been months going back and forth with Healing Waters but nothing. GREED must be the new business principle. Amanda Gorecki and Dr. Davis are SO SORRY I am not happy but will do nothing about it, even though it is in their power to do so.
