Almost a year out
WORTH IT$4,500
I haven't posted for quite a while, nor have I posted pictures because I felt like it would discourage others from getting this surgery. I think everyone thinks that you are supposed to have a six pack by now. I certainly don't, but I never expected that. I can go to the gym now, walk long distance, and am much better attitude- and health wise. I am no baywatch model, but this surgery has changed my life. So , still want pictures?

Down a bunch of inches and coming along. Will start the gym next month to start weight lifting to fight diabetes and weight gain. Start working toward my walking goal tomorrow. Trying to post pictures, but not successful so far. They are in the same shorts my pre op pictures were. What a difference

Have some swelling yet. I will take some pictures in a nice outfit and really show off. My hips are smaller than my waist , down 9 inches, waist down 5. Wait for better pictures next month.

Had my Dr appointment. Told him about the abscess I had. He said that was normal, that body was spitting out stitches and that I was doing exactly right. He wants me back again in two weeks to make sure I continue to heal properly, and to take pictures. I am free to do what I want. Went from the surgical binder to spank like garments. Helps keep the swelling under control. Will begin walking on the treadmill because it is still so incredibly hot outside

Trudy, so glad to hear that you're doing well. Can't wait to see your after pics. You must be feeling very good. Let me know what people are saying to you, I thought I looked pretty good after losing 30lbs total half weight loss and half surgery, but not a single person has really said much about how I look now, which is puzzling to me. Do people think it's a touchy subject or something?
People are self involved and jealous because they don't have the courage to make meaningful change in their lives. We know, don't we?
Back to the Dr on Monday. Waist is down an inch, and some of my clothes are just too big. Needed a belt today! Dr is to take pictures on Monday, I want to see them. Will post pictures soon
You do have a point about other people, yes we do know! Isn't that a fantastic feeling when you're clothes are too big. I didn't realize just how big mine were, went out to the store, got out of the car and my jeans dropped to my knees! Don't care who saw me, it's a wonderful problem to have.
Ha ha! I had bought some men's t shirts to wear under the binder, but wouldn't wear them otherwise. Wore one out yesterday with capris and had room to fold over. Hee hee whoopee
Have to go back to Dr in a month. Have a small spot not quite healed he wants to see again.
