Went & saw the doctor concerning the BB
I got really in my feels last night over my belly button. The overall appearance is scary and concerning. So I called the number I was given and talked to the on-call doctor (this was a Saturday night) he told me to come in tomorrow so that he could look at it. He told me there wouldn't be a nurse there to help but he would do whatever he could for me. So my crew loaded up New Years Eve morning and we went to Hattiesburg and he looked at my BB. He said it looks worse than what it actually is. It has separated, but it would be better to just allow it to heal on its own instead of putting in a stitch. He advised me to clean it with soap and water and change the bandages like I was doing twice a day. Y'all I couldn't believe that he came to his office on Sunday just to look at my wound. That made me feel good. Dr. Richard Pecunia. I don't know anything of his work but his kindness and generosity is worth a recommendation in and of itself.
Belly button problems
Y'all, I'm worried. My belly button isn't right. My surgeon says it's fine and to just monitor it but it looks gross and disgusting. And smells terrible.
Swell hell
Hi everyone! I'm still kicking. I've been kinda down lately. It's Christmas and I can't do much. I'm off pain meds but still have my drain in. The drain should come out Tuesday. I'm just ready to be back to normal. Normal movements, sleeping arrangements etc. Problem of the moment is swelling. Y'all the swelling is real and it's a pain. The worst swelling area for me is my left side. It's sooo tight constantly. Victory of the day: being able to walk upright. Hopefully the back aches will say goodbye for now. Also I've been having to clean my belly button out it was starting to get infected i think it's ok now but I'm not pleased with its shape, that's just a minor thing though.
Provider Review
I really enjoyed talking with Dr. Talbot, he seemed very confident, but not overly proud/cocky. And he also made me feel very comfortable about having the procedure.
