Tummy Tuck in October- NEW PIC 24 days post op Harrisburg, PA

I am 42 and had two big babies 10 months apart when I was 35 and 36. I was overweight and lost 65 pounds about a year ago. My stomach has always been my problem area. I considered a breast lift (I am a DDD cup and gravity has them less than perky) but decided that's too much surgery for now. I figure I can reevaluate things after the tummy tuck.
I went in for a consult about 2 weeks ago and am scheduled for surgery on April 12. I am excited and very nervous. I have never had any kind of surgery. I am a single mom who homeschools two first graders. My mom will be here to help afterwards but I am nervous about the recovery time possibly taking longer than anticipated.
The surgeon will be doing an extended tummy tuck with lipo and muscle repair. I will have a pain pump inserted for the muscles because he said that is the most painful part for most people. It costs and extra $200 but it sounds well worth it to me. But I am super excited to not have a big belly. I don't have any before pics yet but I will post some.
Ok I am posting two before pictures. I can't wait...
I am thinking about getting my upper arms and possibly my thighs done too. But as with my breasts, I will wait until after I see how the tummy surgery goes.
I have been slacking on my workouts over the past three months due to various reasons (or excuses). I had originally lost 85 ponds but put 20 back on. I can really see and feel a difference. I may try to lose it again before surgery.

Welcome to RealSelf.
Congratulations on the weight loss. Now to finish up the tummy work. April is right around the corner but still gives you a little prep time.
You can always get the breasts done later so no worries about that. You will absolutely love having a flat and tight tummy.
Keep us up to date on your progress and please do post some pictures.
Well you know what we have all been here and posted our dreaded pictures. It's ok and before you know it you will be posting the flat tummy pictures.
You have some time before surgery but really focus on being healthy and strong. That will help you greatly in the recovery process.
I had a similar abdomen so check out my blog. I also had an extended TT. For me that meant cutting all the way around. Not sure what that means for you since all surgeons are different. I did have a hard time and took much longer to heal. I'm now 6 months PO and LOVE the results!
Good luck to you!
I just had to postpone my surgery until June 7. My...

I am sorry to hear about your grandfather. That's sad...
Do what you need to do to help the family out right now. You will need to focus 100% on your recovery when the time comes. I also think it's great that you have a little more time to meet two more doctors. Choices are good!!
Keep us up to date on how the consults go.
