37year Old, 32G Bust Have Always Hated - Harpenden, GB

Ok, so, I have been reading breast reduction and lift stories from others on this forum for ages and have finally plucked up the courage to add my own.
I have always had a large bust and developed at a young age. This coupled with being very sporty and not been talked to about what was happening during puberty (mother very prudish) left me scared and hating how my chest was growing and not stopping! After getting married and having two children and breast feeding them, I like my bust even less as they have stayed large with saggyness as well. My children are now 10 and 5 or I feel that this is the soonest I can get this done, for me. I'm only 5ft 4 tall so the extra saggyness of my breasts makes my torso look really short. I'm a size 6 waist down so a 32g bust looks comical in most clothes. I'm hoping to go down to a compact B-cup but want more to look in proportion to the rest of me. Excited and apprehensive all at once. This forum has been really helpful in helping me reach my decision to finally consider getting this done. Am booked to meet and see the consultant on the 14th of May - can't believe I've actually finally got the chance to do something about by boobs!

Good for you girlie!   I am proud of you for taking the plunge.  You are going to feel so much better once this is done.

Thank you so much. Really appreciate the support. I'm trying to allocate some time to take some 'before' photos. I'm hoping to get some lipo on the side-boobs too and this will probably extend a little around to my back on each side. Has anyone else had this done at the same time as a reduction? From what I have read online, the lipo after-pain is worse than the breast reduction - is this true? I've found some pictures of boobies that I really like and am going to take these with me to my consultation as a discussion point - has anyone else done this? I'm trying not to imagine mine being exactly like these as of course, they will be differences but as a general idea of size and shape etc. Random question - can you wear nail polish during the op? I have really weak nails so always have gel/shellac polish on. Also, I've read that on the day of the op, you can't have moisturiser on as they fix a earthing plate to your leg for when the surgeon uses an electrical cauterising tool - is this right? Thanks again.

I was told to remove my shellac nails but wasn't told about moisturiser. Good luck with your surgery, look forward to heating about the results! x

Thank you very much. I'm obsessing about boobies and endlessly looking at pictures on the net! Seeing the consultant on Wednesday afternoon for the fist time. Not being the most patient person, I've pencilled myself in for the op following Wednesday 21st.

It is a little painful after lipo.  You have a crazy burning sensation for a while.  It passes but will annoy you for a while.  I do think that it's worth it though.

Thank you. Will go for it I think

Good luck with your upcoming BR. I did have lipo done as well. Felt pretty swollen for a few days, and had tenderness for awhile. You can have swelling for up to 2 months after lipo. Initially it may have been as sore as the BR, but definitely not more painful. And the discomfort from the BR last much longer than the lipo. I am sure everyone is different, but I think it definitely improves the overall shape and improves your final result. I am so happy I had lipo, but will not know what I would have looked like without it.

Thank you. I'm very excited and hope for a perky-youthful result.

Your surgeon is the guy that I wanted! He done my friends Brest reduction 2 years ago and her results are amazing. Gutted I didn't get him. Good luck I have heard he is FAB x

Good morning to you all. I'm taking it as a good omen that it's sunny here in our corner of England. I'm meeting the consultant this afternoon, very excited but apprehensive as well. I'm actually more concerned about how my children and husband will be than the actual operation, thinking about the recovery more really; all the stories on here have helped to give me a realistic idea of what to expect so thank you all for taking the time to share your experiences.

I had the courage to take the photos this morning ahead of my appointment with the PS, will post later on. Thank you for the reminder to take them!
