So I will condense this revision rhinoplasty story...

So I will condense this revision rhinoplasty story because it had gone on for a long time.
First op: revision rhinoplasty. The results were ok. There was a small dent left on the side of my nose which he decided would be best to fill. As I was going into surgery again he said "right what are we doing". (!!!!) and I calmly explained he was putting a graft in. He asked if he could thin my nose and I said no.
I recovered and he had thinned my nose and the grafts hadn't really taken. Nose back to being twisted .
I decided to try and focus on my life and family (who had already suffered a lot) and I left my nose.
3 years after that it still bothered me. I gave mr Matti the benefit of doubt and asked him what he thought. He immediately agreed to operate free of charge and put another graft in the side from my ear.
As I was going into this surgery he said "I am going to refine your columella scar as well ok?" I thought naively this had to be a good thing so said ok.
After this surgery it appeared refining my scar actually meant shortening my nose. It looked truly awful. The graft he put in was so large it extended under my eye. My husband said it looked like a cyst.
So me and my husband went together to complain hoping for some refund so that I could get his mess sorted elsewhere. But he was very flippant and arrogant and made me feel really stupid. He said he would remove extended graft.
I had no money so no choice but to get him to remove it.
Fast forward surgery and as I was coming out of anaesthetic he said "I have thinned your nose slightly". !!!!!!! I thought I had imagined him saying that but I rang him and he confirmed it.
My face is ruined and people look at me with pity. I wrote to Mr Matti and he denied everything and tried to imply I was depressed. The evidence speaks for itself on my face.
I reported him to the GMC who wouldnt even investigate. It's a closed club when surgery goes wrong be VERY VERY careful. I should have walked away but my financial situation prevented me and his so called great reputation.

I had the worst experience of my life with this doctor. Long story... I went to him in 2009 for a revision rhinoplasty as I had researched he was the guy to go to for revisions. (My initial problem was I had broken my nose 10 years ago and the original surgeon did a bad job). Had the surgery and it was ok except for a small dent in the side of nose. After follow up appointments Mr Matti agreed to fill the cavity with cartilage i.e. He was adding not removing. Fast worward surgery day and as I go in he says "right what are we doing? Shall I thin it"? Absolutely NOT I said we are filling the cavity as planned, very simple. I recovered from surgery and guess what....he had thinned my nose as well!!! As a result of that it became twisted again and lop sided. So I left the whole nose thing for a few years as I couldnt face the stress and needed to focus on my family. However my nose really bothered me but I had no money so I went back to Mr Matti (big mistake). He agreed to put another graft in the side of my nose which hadn't really taken before. He said this would make it look better. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. As I was going into surgery he said "I'm going to redo the columella scar too if that's ok?". I thought that's ok no implications explained. After recovering it became apparent he had shortened my nose (he had removed part of my columella without consent) and now I looked absolutely ridiculous. Also the graft he put in on the side of my nose extended under my eye and as my husband described "looked like a cyst". So fast forward a month and me and my husband went together to complain. Mr Matti was trying to joke around with my husband and make light of it all. My husband hates these environments and didn't know what to do. Mr Matti agreed to remove the cartilage from under my eye. I had no choice at this point as I couldn't go round looking like that, but I couldn't afford another plastic surgeon. So into surgery again. As I was coming out of my anaesthetic he leaned forward and told my he had thinned my nose. I thought this is a bad dream he must have made a mistake. I rang him from my room when I felt better and asked if he has and he said just a little. I was always polite to mr Matti and thought maybe he had had a bad day on my second op and gave him the benefit as my surgery first time was ok except for the slight dent. But it just became like a bad dream. I am now left with half a nose, no confidence, and unable to get jobs because of how I look. The effect it has had on me has been profound. I complained to mr Matti who tried to make out I was making all this up. The evidence speaks for itself on my face. Arrogant and deceitful especially when things go wrong
