The process, from being to the end, was...

The process, from being to the end, was unbelievable. From the first day I met Dr. Rezai, I was very comfortable with him. I was a size 34A with one breast much 2cm larger than the other and I was very insecure about it. Dr. Rezai took my body measurements, and suggested a size that was proportionate to my body type. What I really liked about him was that he was honest and understood what size would be perfect for me. Initially, I wanted to go for the teardrop implant but Dr. Rezai explained that for my case it would be best to go for the HP. I had to go for 2 different sizes for implants, a high profile 350cc and a high profile 325cc (for the larger breast) to balance them out. He then explained to me the procedure, what to expect on the day of surgery, what to expect after the surgery, the possible implications with the surgery and treatment post surgery. I was very happy to proceed, and couldn't wait for my next appointment with him (a pre-assessment before the surgery where you finalise everything). After the day of my pre-assessment where we finalised my implant size and discussed my concerns ("can I die from general anesthesia?" answer is NO), I took my blood and MRSA test from a clinic nearby and from then on, I counted down the minutes till my surgery!
I spent most of the days reading online reviews and watching video diaries of other women who did breast augmentation (not through Dr. Rezai). Let me tell you that that's very unnecessary and that you'll only end up frightening yourself. When it came to the surgery day, I was very nervous (after reading so many reviews and watching so many video diaries). I was admitted into the London Welbeck Hospital, and had a lovely spacious room. I met with the anaesthetist and he asked me several questions, and then before you know it, I was admitted into the anaesthesia room, and before you know it my eyes started to blink slowly and I went to a nice deep sleep. What felt like minutes later, the nurse woke me up and told me I was all done. I did not feel a single thing. I was taken back to the room and I was smiling from ear to ear. I literally had NOTHING to worry about, and did not feel anything at all after the surgery. I remember Dr. Rezai coming in to check up on me right after the surgery. I was given lunch and dinner(very yummy food at the Welbeck!) and my pills throughout the day. I had no problem going to the bathroom on my own, except I did need help back onto bed. That night, I did not feel pain on my chest, but I felt pressure. There is a big difference between pain, and just pressure. It sort of feels like you’ve went to the gym, and had a chest workout. I also didn’t have a dry throat (which is what you read online) from the anaesthesia. I felt very normal, except on medication! That night I slept early and was taken care of VERY SWEET nurses who kept me company too. I would literally do the whole process over and over again.
Alex and Jayne, Dr. Rezai’s assistants, both called and followed up with me the entire week post-surgery, so caringly! Post surgery, I barely felt any “pressure” on my chest because of the medication I was prescribed post surgery. I found myself sleeping a lot and drinking a lot of water. I wore surgical strips over my incisions (which do not show AT ALL) and my surgical bra and belt (the belt only for 2-3 weeks) for a little over a month, until I went and saw Dr. Rezai again for a post surgery follow-up. He advised that I can stop wearing the surgical strips and the surgical bra/ belt, and should buy bras with no wiring for the next 6 months. I got mine from M&S.
3 months later, my breasts have changed so much from the first day. The first day they were very high up and swollen. 2 weeks later I found that the swelling started to go away, and I experienced boob greed (“should I have gotten a size bigger?”). 2 months, I was so happy I didn’t go for a bigger size. 3 months later, I’m in love with my size. I was told that my breasts will continue to change till 6 months later. I’m sure it’ll only get better from here on out!
Thank you so much Dr. Rezai, Jayne and Alex for making this process so wonderful for me, I could not have asked for better!! ?
