I have decided to post my experience of eyelid surgery with Dominic Bray as there seem to be few posts in which this surgery with Dominic is mentioned on its own.
Having thought about eye surgery (upper and lower bleph) for at least 10 years, I found Dominic Bray.
I was fed up of looking exhausted, and baggy eyed, I always looked as if I were frowning and miserable, and this did actually cause arguments with my husband, who continually asked me 'what's wrong with your face?', because my hooded eyes made me look glum, and depressed. No longer able to apply eye makeup, without it melting into the 'hoods', I left it alone. Eventually I stopped wearing makeup all together, as I looked like 'The Joker' once my eyeliner and mascara had melted into one big mess. I lost all confidence in myself, and hated going out to any occasion where I needed to dress up and use make-up,
My daughter (who is a beauty therapist) did tell me that I needed a full face rejuvenation, and that if I had my eyes done on their own, I would look like someone with an eye 'job', probably unnatural.
Dominic confirmed this at our first meeting.
I did initially, after much deliberation, decide to do it all together, face, neck and eyes!
However, unfortunately, because of various family commitments and emergencies, and health problems, including my own health problems, I decided to have my eyes done first, my face lift to follow in 2016. I am grateful that Dominic agreed to 'stage' my surgery. To be honest ,and with much hindsight, I personally think I would have found it very difficult to cope with the 'FULL MONTY' carried out in one go!
I had upper and lower bleph with C02 laser and skin pinch incisions. Again, being honest, I have not found it easy to recover. I do have a great deal of stress in my life, and I am probably a slow healer! Having said that I would definitely do it again!!
Dominic is amazing, and I have received support with the problems that I have encountered along the way.
Four months later, my eyes still have a considerable way to go. Scars to the upper eyelids are still very visible and red, especially to my left eye, the right eye, and lower eyelid scarring less so. I am now able to conceal scars with make up. I have unfortunately had several bouts of conjunctivitis along the way, for which I've needed treatment since my procedure, and have only recently been able to apply eye makeup.
Overall, I am thrilled with the results, now I have been able to use my eye makeup once again, I can see a huge difference in my appearance, and am beginning to get some of my confidence back.
Since I've been able to use my eye makeup again I get compliments all the time that I 'look well' and refreshed! I get asked if I've been on holiday!
Again to be honest, I do feel my expectations of the recovery period may have been a little on the reserved side, in comparison to others, or perhaps I really am a very slow healer! However I would do it all again with the utmost confidence in Dominic, and am now looking forward to having my facelift later in the year, to complete my 'new face'.
I will keep you updated!

Thank you for providing so much detail. I'm so happy to hear you are experiencing such a difference post-op like being able to wear makeup without it melting, and looking refreshed. We would love to see some before/after pics of your eyes.
I had upper & lower bleph ( followed by SMAS facelift, brow lift & laser with Dominic.) I researched for two years to find the very best plastic surgeon or eye surgeon as I suffer with corneal abrasions & very sensitive eyes. From my very first consultation with Dominic, I knew my search was over. Apart from his first class reputation, I knew his was listening and we spoke at great length concerning my eye history and my major concerns regarding my corneal abrasions. I had my upper & lower bleph in 2014 and my results not only fantastic but the almost continuous headache I had suffered from for 5 years on an almost daily basis, just disappeared! I believe this headache was partly caused from the strain on my eyes just trying to keep my eyes open properly. My eyes were hooded & baggy and this was having a really bad effect on my peripheral vision. Apart from a day or so with watery eyes, my recovery was remarkable. I was actually using my iPad the day after surgery. I can honestly say, it was the best decision I have made in my life
I suppose we do all have different healing times & some people recover a little slower but I am pretty sure you will be over the moon with your results when it has all settled. Sending hugs x
