I had my rhinoplasty about five weeks ago with Dr. Rohrich. I chose him because he came recommend to me by a family friend. I had initially overlooked him in my research because I honestly wasn't "hooked" with his before and afters on his website. After I received the recommendation to consider him, I started doing more research on him. I found he specializes in subtle, natural rhinoplasty, which is what I needed. I was already pretty and overall satisfied with my looks, but just has a wonky nose. I didn't want to change the whole look of my face. During my consult, I told him what I didn't like and he described what he could do to fix it. Before I even went for my consult, I knew I was going to go with him because he has years of experience and has a reputation for being one of the best in Dallas. Also, all of his reviews were great. During the consultation, he addressed my concerns and said what he could do to fix it. He took into consideration my other features while he looked at my nose and said what he could do.
I wanted to make sure that I had my rhinoplasty done by an experienced surgeon. After reading so many reviews and "stories" here on real self, I realized that no matter who you go to, you are taking a bit of a gamble. You are taking a risk on not only the cosmetic outcome, but the functional outcome. I knew that going to someone who has been doing this for a long time would minimize my risk. Also, I felt like my nose was a bit of a complicated case and I could only trust someone who had the expertise not to mess it up. My nose was deviated, majorly hooked down-but only when smiling, was bumpy, had a hanging columna and had a tall bridge yet hardly a "hump". Basically there was a lot going on.
Five weeks after surgery, I can say that my nose is straight, I can breathe, and it looks good. It looks like the nose I thought I always had, but when I looked at pictures, realized I didn't- if that makes sense. Now, I have that nose. In all honesty, before I started comparing before and after photos, I was convinced he hadn't done anything to my nose and I paid all that money for nothing. After putting side by side comparisons together, however, it is pretty obvious my nose is much improved and I look like a hotter version of myself lol!The work is so natural and in harmony that no one would think "nose job".
I do not feel that it's obvious that I had work done on my nose (which gives me
confidence), but I do feel like I look better.
As I mentioned before, he specializes in natural rhinoplasty and so he is not going to give you a plastic, fake looking nose. At first I thought maybe I should have asked for more of a dramatic change, but after thinking about how my nose has turned out (so far) and how it could have (if he was too aggressive), I realize that he gave me exactly what I needed and perhaps all that he could do with my anatomy. I believe Dr. Rohrich is to be trusted and has excellent judgement on what will look good on each persons face as well as has the technical expertise to make sure you end up with a positive experience.

Developed saddle nose deformity
yayrhinoJanuary 11, 2019
I am 1.5 years post operation and have developed a saddle nose deformity as confirmed by another surgeon on real self, although I think it has really been there since the surgery ended. The bump always bothered me but Dr rohrich said it would go away. Not particularly happy with that fact. Now I need to contend with getting it fixed

Yes..he does offer a free fix ..patient only pays operating room fee and anesthesia...I declined this option because he reserved 1 hour in the operating room to fix my really messed up nose..WTF!!..

I have a bump still there too that really bothers me, he acted like I was being ridiculous. You can clearly see it though. I would not be charged the operating fee to have it re-touched but I hate to go through this again. What are you going to do?

I’m not sure. I live out of town, but will be moving to Dfw soon so I will go see him then for my follow up. I’m curious what his revisions end up looking like. He obviously leaves the bumps intentionally.

It seems to be common theme with him. He recommended nasal rasping on mine if I felt like I needed it so not a complete revision. I haven’t booked it yet, I’m just not sure what to do at this point. Curious to hear how your follow up goes!
All the best xo
