Original consultation was done in March 2017
First Impression- Lovely discreet clinic, polite receptionist, wasn't kept waiting at all. Dr Mike listened to me, he was kind and realistic about the results. The area to be treated was the a bulge upper abdomen ( a side effect of abdominoplasty ) He advised me to get an ultrasound done to ensure that none of my organs were sticking out through this bulge. Immediately I made up my mind that if the ultrasound was clear , he would do it. Btw is consultations are free, you pay 50 pounds to secure your appointment and you get it back ...
Ultrasound was done a month later and came back clear.
Day of Surgery - I arrived at 7.40 , for surgery to start 8am. A lovely nurse welcomed me, she asked me to ale he first dose of my antibiotics and oral sedative, weighed me, checked by blood pressure, asked if I was pregnant and carried out a pregnancy test ...... Very thorough !!!!!
I was given a disposable gown , bra and underwear. I was really nervous but by the time he started I didn't even feel a twinge with he anaesthetic at all. The whole procedure took an hour , between the scale of 1-10, one being the least and 10 being the worst for pain. I felt zero......
The procedure was smooth. He was professional throughout so we're the nurses. After the procedure, I dressed up got on the tube from Knightsbridge to Richmond , then home. I was absolutely fine. I didn't need as much pain killers as I thought. In the end I used more paracetamol, first thing in the morning and before bed.
I've had my three sessions of Lymphatic Drainage Massage (The last one today).
Recovery has been smooth, I've still got a bit of swelling but I know am
on the right route.
