Awesome Experience
On the day of my surgery, I was super nervous. I sorta knew what to expect but it did nothing to calm my anxiety. When I arrived, I met the most amazing nurse. She was very nice and soft spoken. She explained everything and made me feel at ease. Right before the surgery, I met with the anesthesiologist, who was also great. Dr. Ashruf came in, took pictures, marked me up and prepped me for surgery.
Once I got into the surgery room, everything went quickly from there. There was a staff of four and each of them had a task that they worked on in order to get me ready. Before I knew it I felt myself staring up at the ceiling and then rest is history. I woke up with my garment on and felt very little pain. I was actually quite comfortable. Dr. Ashruf came in and explained what he had done. He said that he removed approximately 14 pounds of skin, over 2 liters of fat and tightened my muscles 4 inches. Everything was documented and pictures were taken during the surgery. I especially liked that I was able to view right away what was done.
The next day, I followed up with Dr. Ashruf. He again explained what was done and took more photos. It has only been 3 days but I am beyond happy with my expeience and results so far.
Making progress day 1 post op
Before and after pics.
Overall I am doing great. I am able to stand upright and I have very little pain. I have weaned myself off of the Oxycodone and only taking the ibuprofen, which to me works alot better for pain.

Less swelling
Today was a better day. I'm experiencing less pain and have completely weaned myself off the Oxycodone. I took one 800 Ibuprofen only because I rode to Virginia and the car ride made me a little stiff. I probably shouldn't have taken that ride, but I felt like I was having some cabin fever. Although not as comfortable as I hoped, I'm glad that I finally got out of the house.
I'm still sleeping on the recliner, tried sleeping in my bed last night but it wasn't comfortable at all. Overall, I feel like I'm doing well.
