Fat Grafting to Hands

WORTH IT
While undergoing a tummy tuck I decided to have some fat grafted to my hands, may as well transfer the fat that was removed from the liposuction to the right places :) I was quite swollen for a couple of weeks, there was minimal pain. I am happy with the results, I might still consider another fat grafting in a couple of years? Dr Lennox did an amazing job.

How much extra did it cost above your tummy tuck to do this? Did the docter say how long it would last?

I noticed fat grafting doesn’t last very long so I wondered if you’re still happy with the fat retention. Thank you

I might have lost another 10% of fat since I took the picture, still happy I did it.

Thank you for responding. That’s a sad part about fat grafting is it’s totally gone within the year. Looks like you just had yours a few months ago and you lost another 10%. I don’t think doctor should be doing this cause it never lasts beyond a year.

Hello, I'm considering this procedure and just wondered how it has held up at this point. Thanks

Hi, I am sorry regarding my last response, I though you were asking about my tummy tuck. Yes the fat grafting has held up, I would say I probably lost about 50% of the initial fat grafting, still a nice improvement, I would recommend it.

I just posted another picture I took today so that you can see the result after 2 years.

Hi! It has held up, I did notice a tendency to put on weight over places though, especially the hips. I did not get my hips liposuctioned, I wish I did. I do have some more less than desirable scaring on my BB. The scar above my pubic bone was sticking to the muscle (it also looked red) so I recently had an additional procedure from Dr Lennox to add fat along the scar, it looks better now. The sensitivity in my abdomen mostly came back but it feels different than before, a little more dull, one small area around my belly button is still numb. It also feels a little tight. Overall it still looks good. Hope this helps?

Thank you very much for responding. I'm having arm lipo and am planning to use the fat in my hands.

2 years post op fat graft to hands

I am still pleased with the result 2 years post op. I have lost around 10% more fat since the 3 months post op picture but the result is still noticeable. I am happy I had this procedure, the fat graft is helping my hands to age more gracefully.
