Very Bad Experience

I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Benchetrit regarding a hand issue involving limited use of my index finger. My GP suspected it might be trigger finger and referred me to a plastic surgeon waitlist. After months of waiting, I decided to seek a consultation independently and found Dr. Benchetrit.

During the appointment, he ruled out trigger finger but did not investigate further, simply redirecting me to see an orthopedic surgeon. When I was eventually seen by the plastic surgeon from the original waiting list referral, he continued investigating, ordered an ultrasound, and discovered a fully torn tendon — which does require a plastic surgeon to repair. My surgery is now scheduled.

In my opinion, Dr. Benchetrit did not make an effort to investigate further despite ruling out the initial suspected diagnosis, and dismissed me without meaningful follow-up. I paid $150 for a five-minute appointment that provided no help or direction. I would not recommend him.
