When you fight cancer, vanity goes right out the window, even down to losing your hair. Yet fast forward seven years and I realized that chemo took more than my hair temporarily, it stole my looks and with that, my self confidence. Dr. Zwicklbauer at the Hampton Roads Surgery Center, at my behest, did a lower face lift, neck lift and upper and lower eyes (hence the cost of $12K, a bargain) and gave me back more than what cancer stole. He gave me back my life. I lost 20 years by doing these surgeries and regret not a single second. The doctor was kind, humorous, intelligent and never talked down to me once. More than that, he is an artist, retaining my original looks as was evidenced by my daughter being entirely convinced I had given him a photo of me at 40 and asked him to replicate how I looked then. I never gave the doctor a photo of a younger me, he just knew how best to bring back my looks in a realistic and youthful manner. After beating cancer, I never thought I would willingly do any surgery unless it was to save my life again but I realize that plastic surgery can do just that. I have my looks and my life back now and all thanks to Dr. Zwicklbauer.

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.
