I have been reading reviews on mommy makeovers,...

I have been reading reviews on mommy makeovers, breast lifts, augmentations and tummy tucks and looking at the before & after pics of all you lovely girls and thought I'd share my experience.

As I mentioned in my title, I am very overweight, I have yo-yo'd in weight for 25yrs and have been as low as 120lb which was too thin for my framend I'm now 50lb overweight but seem to stay at this weight. I have wanted a tummy tuck for all of those 25yrs but just didn't have the money to and said I would definitely have it done by the time I'm 50. Now I'm questioning myself "Am I too old to be having all this done? Am I being really selfish spending so much money on looking (and feeling) better?" My husband is being very supportive, initially he didn't want me to get my boobs done....he's never been a fan of fake boobs (as he calls them) but I have shown him some of the reviews on here and he admits that most of them looked natural. I think he's been looking at too many

I have 6 sleeps until I have my op on 10th June and have to say I'm getting very nervous now. Surgery should've been done yesterday 3rd but the date was changed by my surgeon and is now in my chosen hospital (closer to home) but last night I just kept thinking "it could've all been over now!". I've had my pre-op checks at both hospitals with conflicting advice which hasn't helped the nerves.

I would love to receive advice from you gorgeous ladies and I'll keep you updated with pics xx

2 days post op

Hiya, I have to tell you that this is the most painful thing I have ever been through and I am in agony but I keep looking at my flat tummy & bigger boobs and think "wow....what a difference!" Am still quite dopey and struggling to see the this writing so will update in a couple of days x

5 days post op

Am so impatient!! 1 week Post Op

Saw the nurse today to change my dressings....wounds felt a bit better after this. Unfortunately you can't see too much as I'm covered in dressings. Is it me or do my boobs look wide & flat? Other ladies with same implant size & profile seem to look much more prominent ????.
Tummy seems to be swelling more and more each day....apparently this is due to the lipo. I have some horrendous bruising. I'm so impatient...I want to be pain free, looking slim and being normal again like now!

Still sleeping upright on recliner sofa as I can't get up from the bed and still on tramadol as well as paracetamol & ibuprofen. Tried to cut down but not ready to yet.

Take care ladies! xx

Getting there.....

Well it's now 3 weeks since my surgery and everything is starting to settle and I'm off all pain killers.

Last Thursday, I started oozing from my tummy wound so had to go back to the hospital twice and get hubby to change the pads and dressings. I was put on anti-biotics to prevent any infection and the nurse took a swab. I went back on Tuesday to see the cosmetic nurse and as it was still oozing she fitted a drainage bag. This looks so unsightly (as you can see in the pics) and emptying it is disgusting. Every time I shower I have to make sure it's taped on securely after. Hopefully it will be removed on Monday. Results from the swab were that was good!

I love my new boobs but am unsure on the nipples at the moment....are they too high on my boob? Thought I take a photo of my boob without the tape on. Can't wait for the nipple scars to heal...they look yuk!

Will check in next week! xx

5 week update

Hi lovely ladies, today is 5 weeks list op and everything is settling down now. Boobs have dropped nicely, still have some softening up to do but so far so good. It still feels like there is a little fluid in leftie but my consultant didn't seem worried. Me & hubby are convinced that they're getting bigger by the week...hopefully they've reached their final size.

Now my tummy wound is still causing problems...I have 2 holes (1 large) in the incision line. I have been back & forth to the hospital almost daily to gave the dressings changed but am now on my second suction dressing which seems to speed up the healing. Hopefully, after another week it should be completely healed. I have to keep the pump (as shown in pic) either in my tummy compression garment or in my bra which is a nuisance but at least you can detach it for showering.

Am loving my new figure in clothes!!

See you in a week...happy healing everyone! xx

Quick update

Sorry I haven't been on here lately. Thought I'd just put on a few pics in some new undies. Tummy wound has finally healed and boobs are looking good too! Hope you're all healing well xx

12 week update

Hi ladies, just a few pics at 12 weeks. Right boob always hurts when touched and still have hard lump above and below my tummy scar. Am seeing consultant on 19th for my 3 month check so will be asking about it. Hope you're all doing well! xx

Finally...before & after photos

Saw my consultant last week...he is very pleased with my progress and reassured me that the hardness in my tummy will go down and to massage it. He may do something to make my belly button smaller at a year post op as I'm not happy with it.

Hope you lovely ladies are doing well!! xx
Charles Durrant

I would highly recommend Charles Durrant to anyone wanting cosmetic surgery! He is really friendly, listens to what you are hoping to achieve, he is honest and will tell you whether or not your expectations are realistic. He is a genuinely lovely guy. His secretary Ann, is also lovely and very professional. I had extensive surgery (tummy Tuck, lipo, breast lift & implants) 4 months ago and am delighted with my results. I have so much confidence now, in fact my whole life has changed for the better and that is all thanks to this wonderful surgeon! I wouldn't hesitate to have Charles Durrant perform any further procedures I may want in the future.
