I have been reading reviews on mommy makeovers, breast lifts, augmentations and tummy tucks and looking at the before & after pics of all you lovely girls and thought I'd share my experience.

As I mentioned in my title, I am very overweight, I have yo-yo'd in weight for 25yrs and have been as low as 120lb which was too thin for my framend I'm now 50lb overweight but seem to stay at this weight. I have wanted a tummy tuck for all of those 25yrs but just didn't have the money to and said I would definitely have it done by the time I'm 50. Now I'm questioning myself "Am I too old to be having all this done? Am I being really selfish spending so much money on looking (and feeling) better?" My husband is being very supportive, initially he didn't want me to get my boobs done....he's never been a fan of fake boobs (as he calls them) but I have shown him some of the reviews on here and he admits that most of them looked natural. I think he's been looking at too many pornstars...lol.

I have 6 sleeps until I have my op on 10th June and have to say I'm getting very nervous now. Surgery should've been done yesterday 3rd but the date was changed by my surgeon and is now in my chosen hospital (closer to home) but last night I just kept thinking "it could've all been over now!". I've had my pre-op checks at both hospitals with conflicting advice which hasn't helped the nerves.

I would love to receive advice from you gorgeous ladies and I'll keep you updated with pics xx

I would highly recommend Charles Durrant to anyone wanting cosmetic surgery! He is really friendly, listens to what you are hoping to achieve, he is honest and will tell you whether or not your expectations are realistic. He is a genuinely lovely guy. His secretary Ann, is also lovely and very professional. I had extensive surgery (tummy Tuck, lipo, breast lift & implants) 4 months ago and am delighted with my results. I have so much confidence now, in fact my whole life has changed for the better and that is all thanks to this wonderful surgeon! I wouldn't hesitate to have Charles Durrant perform any further procedures I may want in the future.

Let me say derals You are not too old and we older ladies have to stick together. I am 51 speeding towards 52. I have wanted to do this for myself too. Had to raise kids last year did for all 12 grandkids plus dome nieces and nephews. My 2nd husband of 15 years could do this for me and not even blink. I thought that he would be supportive since he asked if I wanted lipo after I at 5'5 got up to 217 diabetic first ro and a few things. But any way I stopped smoking I lost weight I am still morbidly obese according to weight but people say I look like I weigh a lot less. You have a husband that is standing with you and this is what You want for yourself to make you feel better for yourself, he wins all day!! A woman who loves herself and her man and feels good will make sure he feels good too!! I am going to follow you if you don't mind?? I have been looking at who does good work as well. And what techniques are used and following Dr's and I have eliminated a few based on what I've seen and reviews as well Please don't think you are too old to look and feel good about who you are. I am so glad that this is here to emcourage women to do what they will, why the stigma? I think it is jealousy mostly. Until I can get there (I got to do it on my own) I will encourage Everyone I can!!!

How are you doing? My dimensions are similar and I am about a month out from my surgery for a lower body lift. Hope your recovery has been well!

I think we all go through similar questions to ourselves. No you are definitely not too old. I also felt a bit guilty about the money part of it but I'm a giver and I felt it was time to finally give a little to me. ;) I think it's ok to do a little something for you. Sorry to hear that your surgery had to be rescheduled but you're almost there! Woohoo!! Can't wait to see your wonderful results!

Hey! I'm 5'5" and 175. I'm also worried about results due to weight. My doctor told me not to worry, as he has recently done someone about 240 lbs with good results. Your doctor must think similarly otherwise he wouldn't be willing to operate on you. Draw strength from the women on this site. They're an amazing resource of strength and acceptance. I have read, read, read and have been learning that this isn't about being X size, weight, or age. It's about you being happy. You only live once, so don't spend your time fretting. Spend your time being excited for you till your surgery. Then you can be pretty dang proud for having the guts to go through with what so many people will only talk about!!

Thank you so much for your comment & support! You are so right...since having a brain aneurysm 4yrs ago my motto has been "live your life like there is no tomorrow". This has made me more determined to have this surgery before I reached 50.

I have read your review and think your amazing...I will follow your story xx
