Pre-op

Last Sunday I left for a camping trip. My pre -op was on Monday and luckily the campsite was about 25 minutes away and a lot closer than if I were at home. Vacation and a step closer to surgery? Yes! I'll take it! Pre op went great! I met his nurse/assistant. She did the entire pre op appt. We went over prepping for surgery and post op care. Before surgery, I shower with hyblicens twice, no meds for 7 days before, no shaving pubis area 7 days before, no food or drinks after midnight the night before. Etc... We briefly touched on drain care but was given a packet on how to do that and was assured we would be taught that at the hospital. I have great News btw!!! I am getting a pain pump for the first two days!! It will be removed at my first follow up appt. I'm super excited about this! I filled all four of my medications and bought more supplies for after surgery.. ny doctor didn't mention this but has anyone heard or used bromelain? Someone told me to get that for fluid and swelling after surgery. Size of implants..... ? I will see when I wake up from surgery, we order 550cc and 600cc and sizers.. he will make the best choice once he tries both sizes out.. trusting in my surgeon. I also nade surr lipo of mons pubis area is going to be fine along with flanks and belly. I also scored a brand new electric recliner from rent-a-center today for only $24 for 5 weeks. I don't want a recliner bc we just moved and got rid of ours but I feel it's important t to have one for recovery after surgery. Well rent-a-center advertised by one week get 4 free. Do I am renting a brand new recliner for 5 weeks for $24. SCORE. bc I was so close to buYing one and selling after.

Boobs to Boy chest. LoL
Here are some before and afters of my weightloss journey. It took me two and a half year to lose 95 pounds. Im struggling to get the last little bit off. Trying to lose 5-10 more before surgery. In 19 days!

Some things that really helped me:
1) bendy straws
2) zip up or button down shirts or jackets
3) zip up or front closure, no underwire bra
4) water for the 1st week
5) stool softener (started 3 days prior to surgery) along with Metamucil. If you do this you'll have no need for a laxative!
6) baby wipes, to refresh your face and underarms when you can't shower
7) it's difficult to turn to wipe the 1st few days on the potty. I bought prep h wipes to help out with the cleanliness factor there.
I hope that's not too personal. But I thought I'd pass on what helped me the most!
