Face Damage

$800

I went to their office for a small sun spot that I had on my cheek. The doctor recommended a laser treatment (halo). It has been 6 week since the treatment, my face looks worse than before the treatment. I have now, dry skin, redness, hyperpigmentation…
I’ve been in their office several times for follow up and I haven’t seen the doctor in any of the appointments. Today, I was recommended that I may need a new laser treatment for the damage caused by the 1st laser treatment, which will cost approximately $500.
My next step is to go to a dermatologist, I would recommend anyone to go to a specialist before going to this place.

I am so sorry you had to deal with hyperpigmentation. Has it resolved?

Ask for hydroquinone 4%. It is a bleaching cream used to treat post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Personally, I would have done BBL or IPL for a sun spot as they target melanin better than the erbium/1470 laser of the halo. On the bright side, PID typically resolves with time.

My Skin Looks Dry and Dark Spot After 1 Month

It has been a month after my HALO laser treatment. At the beginning it was as expected, after 10 days the skin looks good, a little bit red, then by day 13-15 begins to get darker, dry and I believe I have hyperpigmentation. The doctor prescribed me hydrocortisone for 2 weeks, I have been using it for 1 week and it made my skin dry, and looks like burn.
