HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the same microscopic treatment zone. This dual-wavelength feature means that you can attain great results with minimal downtime.I have a rare endocrine disorder that presented itself during my twin and singleton pregnancy. I am exposed to a toxic level of testosterone during the pregnancy which resulted in horrible, painful, and embarrassing cystic acne. Luckily, on my face, I have minimal keloid scarring but my chest, shoulders, and back were severely affected. My face does have more of the typical acne-scarred look in the most damaged areas. For years I've seen dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and aestheticians to try anything to look more like my old self and del more comfortable in my own skin. Some treatments have helped (others had their own side effects, I'm looking at you steroids) but I've never done anything aggressive for my face. I'm nervous and excited to start this journey and it's very emotional for me. Due to the nature of my endocrine disorder, my children were all born extremely premature. The twins 25 weeks and the "baby" 28 weeks. Lots of emotions wrapped up in healing from this experience. I'm ready for transformation! I'm ready to burn the proof of my terrifying medical past right off my face! I will be doing two treatments spaced out and the second being more aggressive. I will post pictures from my pregnancy and postpartum to give background on how far I've come already. I will update as much as possible! I'm nervous but ready. Send positive thoughts my way friends! For reference, the pictures pos pregnancy are from 2014.

Day of treatment

Here are the photos for the day of treatment. After checking in, lidocaine cream was applied to my face and I waited in the relaxation room for 45 minutes. Then I went into the treatment room. The machine measures the surface of your skin and then you begin. The pain was tolerable and most uncomfortable around the mouth and forehead. I was given a cool air tube that I could blow cool air where I wanted on my face as it started to heat up. After completing my face we started on my chest after lidocaine had been on my chest during the treatment on my face. I mostly directed the cool air on my face during my chest treatment because it starts to feel like a severe sunburn. After my treatments a mix of aquaphor and lidocaine was applied to my face and chest. I was quite hot and sore. When I got home my husband graciously took care of the kids so I could rest and take a nap. I woke up hot and sore. I was given sterile water and gauze to cool my face. I put the water in the fridge so it would be extra cooling. It helped relieve the heat. I was able to sleep well at night.
