Rash/Bumpy Red Skin & Acne After Halo Laser & BBL

$2,400
I got Halo & BBL 10 days ago. Everything I have seen shows beautiful, smooth skin once the MENDS fall off. Unfortunately, my skin underneath is extremely bumpy, irritated, red, and lots of acne. Any advice on what this is or how to treat it would be helpful! My provider said just keep doing what I'm doing and that it sometimes takes longer to heal. But I'm beginning to think it's contact dermatitis or traumatic milia, and I would love to know how to proceed. I'm using a gentle Cerave cleanser, Alastin Skin Nectar and Repair Cream (like aquaphor), Elta MD sunscreen, and Lasercyn after my follow up. Also on Doxycycline.

Sorry to read about your progress right now, I hope you get some useful tips from the community & see some healing soon.

I just had my second halo. I had acne and bumps for a few weeks after the first one ( I didn't before) then it went away as they said it would. I loved the results and I know I will probably break out again as this one heals! Good luck!
Hi.. I know this was a while ago, but did you ever figure this out? And/or what did you do to help with it? I'm currently experiencing the same thing 2 weeks out from halo laser
Chiming in because though I ended up with a great result, I had this same problem persist for almost two months until I figured out (after digging through dermatological journals myself) that I might have contracted candida of the face -- yes, a yeast infection lol. So I called the doctor to ask if she would prescribe me a diflucan and it went away immediately after one day (but I still finished the full prescription). It happens to 1% of patients, lucky me. So worth a try if the creams/doxy isn't working for you. For me, I think it was just making it worse! Good luck!
Did they put you on an oral antibiotic and anti viral ? I am schedule for March 1, have menopausal acne - and now am concerned . She gave me prescriptions for the antibiotic and anti viral as a proactive measure to not have this happen. Curious is any of you did?
